Your cart is empty.Our air intake system utilizes a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air. This model includes a Pro 5 filter which gets reoiled every 10,000 miles and serviced every 50,000 miles with cleaning kit P/N 5100. It wasn’t worth $270 because the airbox wasn’t moulded right. The opening that goes to the fender well hole wasn’t close enough or aligning. So basically it isn’t sealed like it should be and is allowing more hot air from the engine bay in which defeats the purpose of a COLD air intake. Maybe I got a faulty air box I’m not sure. But there’s no way to fix this issue on mine that I can see. I’d update my review if they sent me another airbox that seals and aligns over the fender hole.

This is a must have for the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon 3.5 and 3.7 liter inline 5 for sure. Taking apart the factory setup it is essentially a bottleneck. The Volant opens up air flow niceley. It was well thought out when it was designed and looks great under the hood. Throttle response is instantly better. Before there was a lag from hitting the gas and getting results from the engine. It now requires less throttle to cruise up the street or maintain speed. At cruising and idle speed it sounds the same as factory, but when you stomp on the gas a bit instead of sounding like an outboard boat motor is has a growl like an engine that can really perform. I've used other CAI's on different cars I owned and this is best upgrade even if you plan on no other upgrades.
