The voltahe readout is crude and not accurate but it gives an aproximation, i use it primarily for presence of voltage. The tester is good.

This tester works well. Super simple and convenient. gives you more confidence as you're doing electrical knowing you won't be electrocuted.

No instructions come with this product. Also, it is not intuitive. To turn it on, do you push the red button (discovered to be yes) or the green button? Do you just push it, or push and hold? What does the green button do? And what do the noises mean?I wanted to use this to test to see if certain wires are hot or not before handling them, but without instructions, I can't trust what it does. Big waste of time and money!

I love the bonus of the flashlight on this. Makes it a lot easier in dark corners. This is lightweight, small and easy to maneuver. It does exactly what is promised.I remember when these used to be really expensive and you hated losing them. Most people would just put together wire clips and a lightbulb haha. These days we go more hi-tech due to the reduction in price. Ultimately, it's a handy tool for remodel or testing. Win!

Haven't used these before but it's accurate as far as I can tell to verify my own diy work. Voltage detection is affected by shielding and insulation but as a general voltage detector it works well for my uses.Even includes a small LED flashlight, not useful for much outside of a little extra light in small places but handy.

This voltage tester works perfect to text out if wires are live or not. I have used often and it has worked well each time. I highly recommend this product.
