Used once upon receipt to test. It worked. Now Dec about 90 days later it does not work. No heat at all. My luck or it is so fragile?

Imagine being able to buy a tip for a soldering gun I bought approximately 30 years ago! And on Amazon! But I did, and it is just like the original as nearly as I can see. It has worked flawlessly for me.

As the gun does heat quickly compared to stick irons, it is too slow for fast small jobs. Great for continuous work and heavy soldering. Takes as long to cool as stick irons. The tips do not last long even if re-tinned faithfully. Replacements are very expensive.
