There are so many of these available and I'm assuming they all work well. I bought another one and didn't realize until after the return window that it had an automatic 4 hour safety shut off. The reason I needed one of these was to stay on overnight. This one is perfect! The description said it has an 18 hour shut off. I left it on overnight with nothing on it to test it out and it stayed on the whole night! Success! It's also bigger than I thought and can fit two 9x13 pans.

I got this mat to travel with and take to cookouts with the family. It warms up so quickly: it goes from 104 degrees (F) to 248 degrees (F), reaching the top degrees in about 3-4 minutes. You can also adjust how long you want to keep items warm. Once you are done and the mat has cooled off, you can roll it back up, secure it with the strap it comes with, and store it in the travel bag. The material is so easy to wipe clean! The only thing I wish was different was how much you can put on it. Depending on the size, it can only accommodate two standard-sized plates, four standard-sized bowls, or three or four pots. So, if you're using this for a family, putting the pots on it is best to keep the food warm rather than the plates themselves. Otherwise, there's not enough room. This is the only reason I am giving it four stars and not five. But overall, I am happy I have it. We will definitely be using this on our trips!

I have a few of these mats at different locations. This one has visible heat bands on the underneath while others are enclosed. I don't think this is an issue, but as I use it I will watch to see if it also heats the surface it is on. It heats well and these are useful for entertaining. Set out dishes you want to keep warm at a party, etc.

I have been wanting one of these for a while now. I’m Italian and always cook enough to feed an army. This usually leaves some dishes being ready before others and needing somewhere to stay warm. I also love hosting and thought this would be amazing for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I wasn’t super impressed.The display area looks cheap and isn’t very aesthetically pleasing. The heating mat actually feels pretty durable.The silicone dishes were sitting on metal trays since they’re not very sturdy and need some assistance. On high, the mat was able to keep the butter melted. Only certain areas of the potatoes and carrots were lukewarm. It doesn’t seem to heat very evenly. The mat also isn’t very big once you start putting plates and dishes on it. This does work decently well if I put my husbands’ dinner plate on it covered to keep warm until he gets home.I wish the display bar didn’t look so cheap in person and that the heating mat was larger.

This mat is easy to use and easy to store. It is flexible and rolls up very easily. A strap and bag are included for storage. It seems durable so rolling it up shouldn't hurt it. I actually have an available wide drawer that is large enough to just lay the mat in flat.It works well. It heats up very quickly, has a choice of 9 temp. settings, and it displays the current temperature as it heats up. The automatic timer is a nice feature if you're using this to keep foods warm while entertaining. That's a time when you can get distracted and forget to shut it off.The heat is distributed well. Every part of my mat gets hot. The outer edges stay cool which I like. The feet on the bottom keep the mat off your countertop. My counter stayed cool to touch while the mat was hot - I lifted my mat from the cool edge while using it to check.I use my mat almost daily for heating plates as I like food to stay warm while we are eating. A cold plate makes hot food cool off too quickly.The advertised photos are a bit misleading as the items shown are shrunken in size. I'm including photos. I can only fit 2 dinner plates and 2 salad plates on this mat at one time. To heat 4 dinner plates, I need to heat 2 at a time, then set them aside and heat the next 2. The casserole dishes shown are one 9"×13", one 8"×8", and one 5"×7"

This warming mat works perfectly! I wish I had known these existed a long time ago. First of all, you can keep plates warm while you cook or while you wait to serve the meal. It really excels at keeping food warm in pots or containers or even after in has been plated. It is perfect for family gatherings. I have taken it to church when we've had potluck meals, and many people have asked me about it and inquired where they could get one!It is so convenient to not have to carry a heavy crock pot with you when you bring food somewhere to serve. I like that you can set the temperature, and it heats up within just a couple of minutes. Cleaning this is a breeze, and it comes with a strap and carrying bag, for easy transport. I really love this and can highly recommend it! Do check the size for your own needs. I got this one that holds two large dinner plates, or two large pots or bowls. I purposely selected this one because of it's smaller size; but if you are in need of a larger one, you can get them in bigger sizes.

This is the third one of these I have ordered since the first made such a hit at a family gathering. I ended up gifting the other two and ordered another for myself. Everyone loved how the food kept warm on the kitchen island and we didn't have to congregate around the stove and counters with Crock Pots and everyone looking for a plug in. These warming mats kept food hot, and if covered with a towel, things didn't get that "crusty" look around the edges from heating too hot for too long. Cheese dip, perfectly kept warmed, even chicken wings on a platter with a cover, kept warm and moist. If you have family dinners or work pot lucks, you need this. But be prepared for gift giving, I guarantee someone will ask where you got it.
