Some people complain that this device will not reduce the ppm count of the water going through it. a few anaerobic bacteria will not change the tiny electric conductivity of the water. This machine does turn on when water flows through it and turns off as soon as the water flow stops. It is the good product that is not leaking. When you do have a large accumulator tank for a small reverse osmosis system, this guarantees that any bacteria that could grow within the bladder of the tank will not survive the heavy light treatment. It is not a very complex concept to understand.

So I really looked into UV units. I gotta admit I was hesitant. Thought it was just an additional “FAD”. So with that I committed and purchased one. Boy was I wrong.Took 10 minutes to install. Really easy. Before using the unit my water bottles would get that funky smell after about a week. Never mattered what water purification unit I would use. This time after 2 weeks of using as an addition this UV light the funk b gone. I was actually shocked at how much of a difference this little contraption made. Even my animals noticed. Didn’t really affect the water flow either like others had mentioned. So my take from it is whatever gets through your filtration system and makes it into a water bottle you drink from can still get their boogie on but can’t make babies in said bottle. The light changes that capacity. It WORKS, buy one and you’ll see. Thank you WaterDrop for this one.

Easy install snip your line, stick both ends in until you see the grey tabs pushed up and a click, stick your blue lock collars on amd you plug it in and done! Viola! You have bacteria free water. Great build quality and i love that it is install and forget it for 50 years. Great lifespan that can't be matched.

Seems to be a high quality unit. It includes a nice little tubing cutter and a few pieces of tubing for the install. I took off a star because there is no kind of mounting bracket included. I used a couple of long flex duct zip ties to mount it to my RO tank but it would have been nice to include a bracket or some clips to click it to the RO system filters.

I recently installed this UV system, I made two times the bacteria test and the results were not good, I tough this could be the solution to get away of bottled water but unfortunately this was not the solution

The kit comes with everything to connect it under the kitchen sink to my 5 stage water filtration system. I added a AC plug splitter for the dishwasher plug and this device Works great and water is very good.
