First of all — I love my Waterguru sensor! I Maintain a pool for work and this is helping keep our pool balanced and sparkling. We have a somewhat local place we can take our water for testing — it is pretty accurate!!Kind of expensive for the pods, but I see the value in my time

I've had the Waterguru system since the first version, in early 2021. I have since upgraded to the S2 sensor.Pros:Readings are pretty accurateSystem provides feedback on battery life, days left for each cartridgeReadings are dailyNo monthly software feesCons:Cassettes have 60 tests, unless you get the 5 test ones which last for 30 tests - I wish there was an option to test the water something like every other day, as I don't need daily results. Every other day would be great, and the cassettes would last twice as long. Tech support however says this is not possible. I can see two factors for this, one - these are consumables that need to be purchased from Waterguru, which in turn keeps them operating. Two - I'm not sure the cassettes can last waterlogged for 120 days - however that is something that could be engineered.There are/were other products that can provide the main 3 measurements without a physical media test, ph, chlorine and temp. I think using the physical media provides a bit more accurate results. The cartridges provide 58 tests, and at $65 per 3 pack (without shipping), that's about $0.37/test.Overall, I'm happy with the Waterguru. I've also used their support, which was great in each case. I was also able to integrate the Waterguru results into Home Assistant for dashboard style viewing.I only knocked one star because I wish you could set the readings to every other day or every third day. Other opinions may vary on this, but I personally don't need a daily pool test done. Since I am in Florida, there is no off-season, so it is $0.37/day, 365 days per year, so about $135 of supplies per year.

It is so nice to have my pool test itself every day. I don't have to worry about the chemicals until my phone alerts me to add acid or choline. I can alert our house sitter to add chemicals if we are out of town. Works well.

The water guru system has been a wonderful resource for my pool. Having the live data at all times changes the way you deal with your chemicals. I don’t ever want to be without it!

By the time I needed to use these (They each last 2 months, so I just now needed to change cassettes), I found out that they do not work!!! I tried a second one and it too is non-functional! I want a refund, but Amazon says "the window is closed". I feel like that is unfair since I just now needed to use these.

After my pool service raised prices in 2022 I decided I needed to sit down and learn to get my pool chemistry correct. I came across this product and I decided I would give it a try. The first box I received was clearly used, and I was not too happy about that. I returned the item to Amazon and they sent me a new unit. Setting it up was a little difficult. It seemed not to want to connect to the wifi but after some time I was able to get it to connect to BT and get it going. It now is connected and has remained connected since. I simply just listened to what the device had to say. It gave instructions on how much chemicals to add and I just followed its directions. When it came time to send in a water test it took some time but the result eventually appeared in my APP. This was cool. I followed the recommendations after the results and my pool has remained crystal clear. One thing I like is that it does do daily tests. I get notified when the FC is low and I never go zero. For this last test, I changed my water in the pool due to its high levels of CYA. I decided it was time to change it anyway since it had been more than 5 years. I filled the pool and took a water sample. When I got the results it gave me all sorts of info on balancing my water. I followed those instructions and I continue to have clear clean water. They have a new unit that reads many of the levels that you normally would have to send in a sample. My unit is only 1 year old so I will wait a couple more years and I am sure I will upgrade. Even with the 20.00 a month charge for cartridges, I save a 100.00 in what I was being charged a month for a service.
