Our Waverly mandolin endpin in ivoroid with black dot inlay is individually lathe-turned to vintage dimensions as specified by Don MacRostie, renowned mandolin maker.
The ivoroid endpin is made of Galalith, a dense and durable casein-based material that polishes beautifully. It cannot be molded; each pin is precisely machined and has none of the unsightly mold lines common to plastic endpins.
The 3/4"-long (19.05mm) shaft has a 2-degree taper, from approximately .350" to .315" (8.89mm to 8.00mm) diameters.
We recommend a standard peghole reamer for installation.

I bought an EBay The Loar mandolin. The strap tailpiece is looking ratty. It is wood and looks walnut. Something more durable is needed.

Many endpins either have too small a slot for the strap to sit in, or it’s too big/rounded, for a sloppy fit. This was just perfect, and with some clear nail polish, it fit the end hole with no trimming. Excellent quality.
