This set of six balls is perfect for softball strengthening as along as used properly considering the extra weight. They appear to be and have turned out to be very durable even beyond the softball field. With the ability to pump in some air after use and any significant impacts, they maintain the desired size and shape. The casing is firm yet soft and the color helps distinguish them so you can locate them quickly for use.I tested them as a general exercise tool for rehab first and they performed well. They can serve as a lightweight 'medicine ball' as well. Just be careful to not throw hard with them as a softball tool until you've built up some strength and become accustomed to the extra weight especially throwing overhand. Take your time and spread the learning curve out over weeks.I also tested them by throwing them against a brick wall at some height while mimicking the form used for throwing a javelin to build back some muscle memory. As expected, the balls scuffed a bit but weren't damaged. If they do incur significant scratches or gouges, I would cover them with some form of heavy tape to prevent any serious damage. I like the quantity. It's not only a good value, but I can concentrate on my form for six throws in a row and not have to scurry around to recover a single ball each time.

Perfect for my kids, 10 and 7. We are now able to practice their hitting in the back yard without worrying about taking out my window or my neighbors window.

Good balls. I have weighted baseballs and these weighted softballs. My baseballs feel heavier. It would be nice if these were the same weight or slightly heavier than the baseballs.

Good solid weighted softball for all those practices. I love using these for hitting drills prior to games. The girls can get a really good swing, make really good contact and the ball will only go about 5-10 feet. This means that you can get lots and lots of reps in before the game. I have not tried to throw with them. My feeling is that I do not want to use these and happen to do damage to the girls shoulder. I'll keep using these for what is really making a difference in their hitting game. They are soft but heavy> Softball size and the kids love them.

These weighted balls are useful in a variety of ways. They are good for batting, throwing and strength training. The balls are very durable and can take a lot of abuse without breaking. I use these regularly in my baseball practices, even though they are softballs. My pitchers use them mainly for strength training purposes.

The training balls arrived exactly as shown in the pictures, and everything in the box was perfect—there was nothing missing or defective. Each ball weighs 16 oz and measures 3.8 inches in diameter.I got these to help one of my sons with their baseball training. The weighted baseballs not only help build strength since hitting a heavier ball forces hitters to remain strong and powerful throughout the contact zone and during the entire swing, but they also improve swing path and feel. Additionally, they enhance the experience of bat-ball contact, ultimately leading to better hitting.Training with weighted balls effectively mimics the impact conditions of hitting a pitched baseball without straining the arm from high-speed pitches. Simple side tosses from close range can still emulate the feel of a pitch due to the weight these have. This sort of training with these balls significantly improves hitting perception and bat-ball contact, and encourages batters to extend their swings and follow through completely. The result is better batting and greater power. These weighted balls also provide immediate feedback on whether a hitter is making solid contact or not. If the ball is hit incorrectly, it spins excessively and flattens out, clearly indicating that the batter didn't drive the ball properly.Another reason I appreciate these balls is that they're perfect for someone with limited space to work with like me. Overall, they are one of the most functional tools available for training hitters, and they can take quite a beating so overall great value for money

As a softball coach and a dad to a daughter who plays, I can’t say enough good things about these weighted softballs. They’ve become a key part of our practices—whether we’re working one-on-one or with the whole team. The 16 oz weight helps improve swing mechanics, build strength, and gives instant feedback on contact, which is huge for development. They’re durable, versatile, and perfect for both beginners and more advanced players. A must-have tool for serious training!
