My husband thought these would be great for me for use with our wood stove. The available smaller size of the gloves was a great solution for my small hands. The gloves went half way up my are, which was also great. Sadly, one flame shot up and caught the gloves. They melted and turned brown. I was lucky I didn’t get burned. Do not use these for a wood stove. My hubby didn’t read what the manufacturer suggestions were for these gloves.

These gloves fit our purpose. They are well made and rugged. We use them when handling small animals to prevent being scratched and clawed. The animals do not know we are trying to help them until we are done. They are also good when playing catch to prevent accidental bites.

While the glove fit beautifully and appears to be well made, upon first usage (fireplace), I experienced immediate heat, burning the tip of one finger. Returned the product immediately (at a cost)

I am a pet sitter and realized I need these after I was bitten by a cat. After trying out a number of other gloves, I found that these were the best fit . I ordered a Medium and they fit ok even though my hands are rather delicate with long slender fingers.

These are very nice gloves. The leather is butter soft and the inside of the glove is very soft. I would have expected gloves of this quality to cost over $50. I've only had them for a few days, so I can't say how they'll hold up.

I got these for a 10 week forging/welding class I took. They were fantastic. I barely ever felt any heat.

Recommended for all sorts of uses. I bought these initially for possibly handing feral animals because they have Kevlar lining on the entire hand portion and not just the stitching.Then I found that they’re way less bulky than my BBQ and “ove” gloves. I fully handled a 450-degree steel baking sheet for about a full minute or so without much discomfort and no issues from steam. I might buy another pair for the kitchen.As it says above, XS is about equivalent to a women’s 7 in gloves or a medium. They’re soft, will soften more with use, give pretty good dexterity, and comfortable for what they are. Wish there was a loop that I could put a carabiner through for hanging.
