Did not seal, got a replacement and it didn’t seal either. Had to order one directly from whirlpool, for more money. But customer service was great.

Easy to install. Took about 15min to remove and old gasket and install this item. Look at video posts for install. If you are having issues with seal of door, please look at replacing the door cams at the bottom hinge. See part number WP2182179 for Kenmore Refrigerator above. If your gasket looks good, meaning no cracks or tears, look at replacing the cams first.

Fits like the factory original. Old one did take some pulling and the new one popped right in place. Very pleased with the fit and the tight nob leaking door seal.

As a replacement for my refrigerator there is a whole lot more to do than just put it on. It went on nicely but i learned a vinyl glue is supposed to be used since it does not a the lip on the edge that secures it in place. It does fit on and tension seems to hold it in place but I'm sure that won't last with a glue. After getting it on the door would not stick. It's not magnetized! This replacement piece is not magnetized!

I received this in a flat box that was partially crushed and not sealed well. However the gasket looked to be in good shape aside from several creases. I watched several YouTube installation videos and hung the gasket in the sun for several hours as suggested, in order to let any kinks 'fall out'.Installation was fairly straight forward, however upon finishing, this gasket would not keep the refrigerator door shut at all! The one I was replacing (original one with appliance purchased 17 years ago) at least kept the door shut most of the time, though not very tightly.I ordered another of same model number from non-Amazon sellers where the 3 reviews averaged 5 stars, instead of another of this where 11 reviews averaged 3 stars.Disappointed that I wasted an hour installing it for nothing. if I was an appliance repairmen it would be a 20 minute job.
