I am very much liking this stainless steal tea kettle. It is heavy duty, well made and holds just over 2-1/2 quarts. There are max and min markings on the inside as a fill guide. I filled this kettle up to max to test. It took 22 minutes to bring to a boil on a medium gas flame. Surprisingly, the water was still hot enough to wash my dishes three hours later, so it holds the heat a long time. I did have to use a pot holder to pick it up from the stove but that to me is not a negative. The flip topped pouring spout works quite slick. The kettle didn’t actually whistle at boil, but rather gave a muffled whooshing sound. That, too isn’t a negative for me as I have tried other tea kettles and they didn’t whistle for me either. I would have been surprised if I did get a whistle. Well made, holds the heat, and looks nice. I can see this will be a staple on my stove for years to come.

This tea kettle looks like an expensive antique, it’s beautiful. The body has a unique curve to it, and there’s a metal label on the front that adds to the character of the kettle. I really like the way it opens. There is a lever under the handle that you can press and the teapot opens – then stays open until you press another button to close it. So no more getting cramps in your thumb holding the kettle open to pour several cups of tea. It heats quickly and holds its heat well; a second cup of tea just needs a couple minutes to get back to brewing temperature. The whistle is clear and audible from several rooms away. There are minimum/maximum fill lines inside, and it comes with a thick, colorful hot pad. This tea kettle is so good looking, it’s worth buying even if you don’t brew a lot of tea. I love it and highly recommend it.

Changed from five to three stars. Product was defective, water leaked after one use.

Nice, regular sized teapot. It feels thick and durable, maybe even a little bulky around the part of the handle with the whistle. A lot of little parts are right there in that area that might be hard to clean, but the overall sturdy feel of this teapot may make that worth it. To me, this teapot feels like it's going to last for a while. The handle doesn't get hot at all when boiling water but a single potholder was still included with it. Nice! The teapot also feels good in my hand. It doesn't feel awkward holding it or pouring it like some of my old teapots used to.Personally, I think the whistle is loud enough on this teapot. It's definitely louder than the whistle on my old one.I like the button for opening and closing the whistle lid. It kind of snaps shut, but that makes a sound that might be loud if trying to make a cuppa tea for yourself late at night when others are sleeping nearby. The teapot boils water as expected. It might even boil it just slightly faster than my old teapot.Overall, I'm happy with this product and would recommend.

We have sleepy time tea almost every night before we go to bed - it's become one of our most enjoyable bedtime rituals. Previously, we were just boiling water and waiting for what seemed like forever for it to boil or either checking for that watched pot that never boils. I received this white tea kettle and it's glorious! It's beautiful, functional, and seems to be of high quality - no rust so far. Given that it's 18/8, it shouldn't rust at all. I keep it as a decorative piece on the stove now when it's not in use, but the best part is that it does indeed whistle!!! One small negative is that the handle does get hot; however, a split potholder is included for picking up the handle. We're super happy with this tea kettle and our nightly tea time.

Nice... the pot holder is a bit pointless, but the kettle is nice.

It barely whistles, otherwise okay. I wanted something to whistle. How hard is it to get a whistling teapot without paying $100 so I don't poison myself.
