Took a while to get this to work. Added to Smartlife app fine, but it was pretty limited in what it can do. I really just wanted to control my TV and receiver. The Sony TV was easy to add with a quick match. The receiver took me several days of trying to figure it out. The only device choice that seemed to match was Audio, so I went with that. The power button matched fine, but then the next button it wants to match is zero...which is hardly used at all and I couldn't test it. Had to switch to manual mode and after a lot of frustration, figured out that the top of the device needed to be pointed at the receiver, not the front where the blue light is, for the receiver to pick up a good signal. Weird. But after that, the buttons selections are pretty limited (probably audio does not equal a receiver) and you can't change the label on a button or add other buttons that you need. I ended up having to use one of the available button choices to set to the input selection button. Not very user friendly if I had to sum it up. On top of that, the cable it comes with is ridiculously short. You'll need to have a convenient place for this to be plugged in and still pointed at your IR devices. Will keep looking for a better option for my needs

Useful little appliance. Uses the "smart home" app like many others, but forces you to connect it to your network instead of letting you use it with bt in a direct manner. Was planning on using it to automate the mini-split and garage door in the shop, but the frequency range this supports is from 314 - 316 mhz and 433 - 435 mhz, so it jumps over the 318 mhz band which covers Linear Megacode appliances.Ir functionality seemed to work just fine for the most part though. And I have no doubts that this will cover most common generic rf remotes for lights and such. But the forced internet access is a deal breaker for me.

Doesn't work! I set it up and tried 2 different RF devices, followed the instructions on the screen and could not get a single command to respond via the adapter. This might work with very specific items but the Ceiling fan (with an RF remote) and the bathroom exhaust fan (also with an RF remote) didn't connect at all

I got this to control my Lennox mini split heating/cooling unit with my phone or Alexa. The mini split already has a remote control, but does not have bluetooth or wifi capabilities otherwise. Once I downloaded the app it took me a little bit to figure out where to locate my device within the app to set it up as the paper directions were not correct for my device. Once I figured that out it was easy to connect my mini split and then control it with the app. The drawbacks for me are that you have to control the thermostat in 2 degree increments, and the controller has to be pointed directly at the mini split for it to pick up the signal, but those are small drawbacks for the benefit of the smart integration.

This doesn’t even deserve a write up skip at all costs JUNK! Wasted time and energy trying to set this up just for it to not work after a day. I’m tech savvy but this almost got thrown out the window.

I followed what the screen told me to do and still nothing. My home is being setup to be a full smart house and I figured since there is a hundred of these Lil boxes that it should be fairly simple. What person knows the frequency of their 6 year old fan. Don't waste your money

Just received the product. Connected it to my WiFi, and selected the DIY device pairing for a 315mhz RF remote controller. It has a 30 second pairing receiver timeframe, in which every attempt I have tried FAILED hard! I even tested the WiFi signal strength on the Tuya app and it was good, but for some reason it fails to recognize the RF signal. Guess you get what you pay for. Time to buy a better made brand. RF receiver is not work or poor quality. I should have trusted the few reviews that were ahead of my purchase because it was a waste of time to wait for this to arrive and test.
