I purchased this winder to help me quickly and efficiently wind my skeins of yarn for crafts and prep before I made projects. The amount of time I spent trying to dial this in, unwinding, winding, unwinding, winding, adjusting tension, winding, unwinding, endlessly took so long I could’ve had done this by hand quicker. The center cone would constantly fall off the winder, stop turning, slow down, turn off, all while in use! The whole thing was just a pile of junk. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Simply throwing it in the garbage was not a testament to how truly awful this product is. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

While I thrive on mechanical devices this one doesn't quite cut it for me. I ruined an expensive skein of yarn so for starters, until you get used to using a gadget like this, practice with cheap yarn! I couldn't walk away from it without it making a tangled mess that I had to keep undoing...BUT, that get it done mentality wouldn't let me quit until I conquered it! This was 481 yds of Colorama Rose Frost and I will say if you making a large ball definitely keep an eye on it. I had all kinds of issues with tangling which leads me to believe the product isn't all what it's cracked up to be...having said that, I will make another effort to overcome the problems I encountered.

Whilst this winder works ok, the electric adaptor is NOT SUITABLE for Australia. It tells me that Amazon don’t care if it works or not, just the sale of goods is what they are interested in. I was lucky in that I had an old adaptor stored away that was suitable. AU$119 is a lot of money to throw away for goods that are not fit for purpose, or that are unable to be used in a country where the provided electric adaptor cannot be used 😡Suggest that Amazon amend its advertisement and/or goods to explain which country the included adaptor is compatible with

The motor is great but the spring is terrible. Doesnt wind well when there’s tension. It slips out from the spring. Tried with swift and cone yarn, does not wind well. Only winds well for store bought yarn.

I used a roll of cardboard around the winder for my yarn to go on (had to tape it winder because it flee off first go round) but it worked great. Slid it off and put it on my yarn holder (also amazon and I love that too). Both are great buys.

I wish I bought this sooner. It makes winding yarn really easy. It is easy to use. It does big balls. I like that it is automatic. I have had some manual winding ones. This one lets me do quite a few balls at a time.

C'est merveilleux ! Je la recommande à tous. Belle vitesse réglable, elle s'arrête seule quand il y a une tension trop forte, bonne grippe pour la pince qui la retient sur la table. Elle fait de très beaux cakes ce qui simplifie le tricot ou le crochet avec une pelote sans noeuds. Si tu as un support en bois avec poteau aimanté, cest encore plus merveilleux. Je l'adore. J'aurais dû acheter cette machine bien avant. Je recommande fortement le vendeur ainsi que cette petite merveille !

Sehr schlechte Qualität: ständig löst sich die Plastikspindel vom Drehteller. Durch wiederholtes Festdrehen schon nach dem 3. x ausgeleiert und hält nicht mehr.

I have now given it a five star because I need a usb charger to use it so I will be keeping it it's good value good value for moneyi test I'm bigger wool
