We've been buying these Linear Actuators for quite a few years, for the equipment we make. So we finally bought a bad one. I try to keep one or 2 in stock so Just in case, "they ran out". So I opened the box, I never had a problem with these Windy Nation actuators in the past, I thought they were bullet proof. I received it April 10th (24) and of course the "window" to return it was May 10th, today is the 12th. Oh lucky me.So from now on, "if" you buy these Actuators, be sure to TEST them BEFORE you use them. I learned my lesson. Hopefully other people will learn from my experience.

Buyer beware. The 1st actuator lasted 6 weeks & the coil came apart. After some arguments about the warranty they finally sent a replacement. It came apart in 1 day. Literally pushing 1 ft Lb. JUNK!!!!

Dang solid little unit! I love that it has internal limit switches so you can power it to full stroke both directions and not worry about burning it up. Solid!

My goodness what a whining noise this makes when it extends or contracts! I had less than a 1lb load on it when I installed it on a chicken coop door in a sheltered location from rain. This opened and closed the door faithfully every day for 2 to 3 years of use, and then it died.Before buying a replacement I plan to look for another manufacturer. If none, I will buy another one knowing 2-3 years is about what I'll get out of it with almost no load.

Used for motorized extension in a movie prop. Up / down action is reliable with VDC polarity change. Limit switches at both ends, work as needed. Variable voltage 5-12 VDC controls speed. Good product. Good price.
