The 14 gauge is too big and doesn’t strip the wire and the wire twister bent after 10 uses

Received and inspected nice quality. I had a piece of 12/2 wire stripped cover back added the 12/2 bit to my impact and tried it out with no questions it worked perfectly. Very impressive I’m happy on my quick test out of box. The 3 common sizes is all you need.

These Hoiuter Wire Strippers work well and will save me some time when doing electrical work. I have typically used manual wire strippers for this task, but now that I have used these drill powered strippers, I will be using these instead.I have successfully used them on 10, 12, &14 GA wires both solid and stranded. As you can see from the photos, the insulation is spirally shaved off in a neat clean fashion. It is important to note that in the photo with the 14 GA wire, it also shaved a small layer of the copper wire as well. In my case the slightly smaller diameter made no difference and there was a benefit of exposing the clean, non-oxidized surface of the wire for great electrical contact. The 10 GA stranded wire was not shaved at all.The strip length is adjustable via a sliding shaft using the adjustment collar to lock it in place. The scale is in mm/cm with the minimum strip length of 1cm and the maximum length of 4cm. The stripped length corresponded well with the scale on the shaft.I am very pleased with the performance of these wire insulation strippers and I highly recommend these tools for anyone that does any amount of electrical wiring.

Stripping and twisting wires is not my favorite thing. I have just always looked at a wire stripper/twister as an unnecessary luxury. But this year, I tackled the job of hanging permanent outdoor Christmas lights onto our home. That involved stripping something like 400-500 wires. In light of that (no pun intended), this handy, little tool went from luxury to necessity.It makes the job so much faster. And just as important, it allows for much more accuracy in the process. Attached to a wireless drill, stripping the wire involves simply plugging it into the end of the stripper and pulling the trigger on the drill. Twisting the wires is just as simple.This specific set came in a nice case with clear instructions. I should have picked up one of these a long time ago. I'm giving it five stars not just for the convenience it provides, but also for the obvious pride the manufacturer takes in building and packaging a quality product.
