Picked this up so my 5’1” wife can finally reach the top shelves in our kitchen.The biggest plus for this step stool (imo) is the stability. The rubber feet provide a non-slip hold on the floor and the wide base (12-1/2 x 16) provides plenty of area for a solid stance. The stool is also capable of supporting a lot of weight. Both my wife (115 lb) and I (225 lb) stood on it at the same time with no creaking or bending. About the only issue I could find regarding the stool (and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is the finish on the top surface. There are five slits in the standing surface which do provide some grip, but the finish is incredibly smooth and slick if you are wearing socks or if the surface gets wet which is a real possibility if it is being used in a kitchen or bathroom.While the step is large enough for that extra stability, it is still relatively compact in size and can be conveniently tucked away out of sight when not in use.While this will predominantly be used in our kitchen, I also anticipate it being moved to the bathroom or bedroom when our young nieces and nephews come to visit and need to reach the sink or climb up on the guest bed.Overall, very pleased with the stool and would definitely recommend it, but would also caution about the very smooth top surface which is visually pleasing but could be a concern – especially if it is being used by young children.

The stool arrived with one of the legs broken. I am waiting for a replacement but it gives me concern about the 400# weight rating. I will update when the replacement arrives.

Came with top cracked in half so I ordered another one. The replacement came also with the top cracked in half? I’m using this to elevate our fan so I will glue it together and hope it will hold together.

Quick and very easy to assemble, very sturdy. I stood on the edges to test stability and it didn't move or flip. I use it in a carpeted bedroom to step up to get on a high bed. I don't know how it is on a smooth hard surface, but on carpet it is very stable. It is exactly as described and was delivered early. Good product and good seller.

Very easy to assemble. Looks good, light weight. And smooth platform for bare feet. I use mine to get int and out of my bed. Having a muscular disease, step stools are usually too high and too small. This is big enough platform and it's low enough for me to step on without assistance. Very stable.
