Had an old intermatic timer for the pump, and this moves us into the modern age. This was easy to wire, basically the 4 wires that went into the intermatic, go in the same order on the new timer. Get that done, power on and configure for the App (assuming your wifi reaches your pool shed. Having this timer allows you to make your "dumb" pool pump into a smart / more cost efficient pump. Avoid peak hour electricity pricing, and schedule the pump in the early am, evening, and late night.

Excelent for those 220v applications. Super easy set up though I don't know why the app needs my location that just not seem right. I have it set up on my comperessor that from time to time would come on at 2:00an so I wanted to be able to let it come on from 8:00am to 9:00pm and it works perfectly for that. Was really easy to hookup as well. Instructions were pretty clear. Looks like they have other things you can control as well with the app.

This is a heavy-duty quality wifi pool pump timer. Connecting it to my system was simple and setting the timer schedule is also super easy. It has been working as expected ever since installation with no issues at all. It's also nicely weatherproof, which is important in FL with all the hurricanes. This should last a LONG time. I only have a small above ground pool and this is probably way more than I need, but it is super convenient. The price for the wifi pump timer is only a few dollars more than the mechanical one, so that seems like a great deal to me. I would've expected the price to be significantly higher.

I have owned several wifi enabled switches for my pool pump. They have worked ok but this is the first one that is what I consider heavy duty. It feels stronger and the inside build consists of much better parts. The crazy thing is the price is almost the same. The app is great and easy to use. Able to set timers on your phone and never have to think about your pool pump again. Easy to install if you have ever done a switch install or replacement. Replacement of an existing switch is super simple. If you are a noob just make sure power is off. That's the most important thing. Then take the wires off one at a time and connect them to the new device. Should match up pretty well (did in my case). Programming took minutes and install was easy IMO. Great product at a fraction of the price for what the big brand name pool companies sell similar products for.

My wife and I have been working on modernizing most systems in our home so we can travel and still be in touch with what is going on. I really wanted to install a wi-fi enabled timer on our pool pump, so when I ran across this one I picked it up to give it a try.Swapping out the older one with this one was extremely easy aside from needing a couple new anchor points. The wiring is as straight forward as the old one, but this one did not have the normal wire clamps that I'm used to, so I added ring terminators to go around the terminal screws. I would have preferred the wire clamps, but adding the ring terminators kept everything up to code with this type of connection of 240V. I had previously bypassed the timer on the pump itself so it ran by remote timing. It seems that many of the newer pumps have this type of run timers built into it.Luckily, I have a number of items in my home already using the Smart Home app, so it was easy to add the pool timer and get it up and running. The app is very simple to use and took minutes to have the timing schedule I prefer programmed and running. There is also the selection for random run times, repeating ones, etc., but I have my preferred run time, and since my pump is not variable speed, this works great for me.Overall, the box for this seems very sturdy and looks like it will last. I'm not wildly crazy about the sphincter openings for the pump wire, but it was easy enough to pop out for the flexible conduit fitting for the power in. The timer has run for a week and I haven't had an issue with it. For the easy of installation and use, I think it is well worth the money.

I have several wifi pump timers (2 pools at two properties), they are all good and mostly reliable except for a minor glitch here and there. Though i prefer the simplicity and longevity of manual timers, they require constant resetting due to power outages and getting notifications it was on,etc requires a work around. This one is a step above, the case is significantly stronger, thicker, sturdier (terminals as well) than others i have, app is easy to use but i have other stuff using tuya so i just used that and it configured fine.Note it's 2.4ghz only which is not uncommon due to greater range, so make sure you're router has that enabled. No gasket on the cover, but it has a channel for any water that would leak past to drain downward and not get into the box.Comparing though, other timers have more flexibility on loads and voltages, ie double throw, different combination of voltages, but the build of this one is great if you don't need that flexibility.

I moved from a mechanical dial system pool timer two months ago when I added a salt system. While it worked great the plastic felt weak. Sure enough… after two months the locking mechanism broke. With the Florida wet season rapidly approaching it needed to be replaced ASAP.Everything about the SURAIELEC timer feels better. The weight difference is obvious, it was easier to hook up, and the door latch doesn’t feel flimsy. The ability to add a small padlock is a nice touch. One big issue I have with smart devices is everything seems to have its own app. I hate having a folder full of apps and trying to remember what app does what device. This timer uses the Tuya app, and it’ll be my third device on it. It integrates with Alexa, and I can tell it to turn on or off at will. It’s a great timer, and I wish I had found this one first. It would have saved me $50 and a couple hours of labor!
