I use a sawyer squeeze on backpacking trips, but the bag that came with it is so small. It takes forever to fill up even if you're next to a big body of water. The opening on this is great, just dip in in a stream and it will fill right up. I'll probably use it more on camping trips with friends than backpacking because it is so huge and I try to backpack along streams so I don't need to carry too much water. If I were filtering a lot of water though, this would be great since I could set it up and walk away, I don't need to sit there and squeeze it all out like I often do with my sawyer. This is also great in case of emergency where you may be without water in your home.I don't have the greatest sense of smell right now due to my allergies, but I'm normally super sensitive to plastic smells, and this does not seem to have an odor.

Decent for camping especially with the strap hooks so that it can hang in a tree for gravity. I actually ordered this for hurricane season when sometimes we lose power so this will be good if I need to cook outside on BBQ or camp stove. This would really be handy for those in the area that are on a well and if power goes out, they can't pump water. So far I haven't had a problem other than power outage but I know many people lose their fresh water supply so I figured it's better to be. prepared. I can even hang this from the cabinets or shower curtain rod if necessary.I don't think I would take this hiking because it holds so much and would be heavy though it doesn't need to be filled completely and the strap and hooks mean I could hang if from the backpack.So it is a good item to have in emergency situations.

I had been wanting one of these bags to pair up with my Sawyer filters that gives me more capacity and lets gravity do the work for me and this one works perfectly. Although this is a pretty big bag it is really nice when you settle down for the evening and want plenty of water to cook, wash or refill your water bottles. I doubt I would use this for a solo trip but it is really great if you have several people with you and there is a need to process a lot of water.The seams all look well-made and the bag was soft enough to easy roll up and pack away. I let it hang a good while and never saw any leaks, even when full. I also like the tubing and connector locked firmly into place without leaks and was easily released with the push of a button. The extra clip-on strap is also nice because it allows you to hang if up a little higher if you need.I have seen some of these bags that had a very strong odor that actually affected taste and so far, I have not noticed any off smells or taste from this bag.Wish it came in a tan or brown color.This is a short-term review so durability will be proved out over long term use. Warm weather is coming and I am really excited to put this new to use. So far I am very happy with it.

I got this in case SHTF as a prepper, and would add on my water filter to the tube to dispense water into a food grade bucket with dispenser. Also good for fresh water for camping. Can use it for cleaning dishes, hands, drinking etc while camping. The only CONS, they should include a cleaning kit with brush to clean the tube with. Hopefully it will last. I don't know the inner dimension to buy extra tubing. The bag is nice. It's velvety on the outside. Nice silicone bag. Seems strong. I have not used it yet. Keeping it in my BUGOUT BAG. Allows you to hike light so u don't need to carry around full bottles of water. Just make sure you have a water filter to attach. I tested the filter. It fits perfect with this tube included. This is great for filling and keeping on your kayak or boat too! Highly recommend

Not much to say here—does what it's supposed to. Great for short hikes or keeping in the car for emergencies. Good value for the size and versatility.
