I installed this antenna on the Jeep, and have taken it through some rough conditions: dirt, rain, high vibration trails, and it’s held up really well. The build feels sturdy, and it's clearly designed to withstand outdoor abuse. It’s waterproof, flexible enough to handle wind and bumps, and hasn’t shown any signs of corrosion or wear after several outings (even getting stuck in a bush one time).Installation was straightforward. It uses a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded mount, which fit perfectly with my existing base. The LED wire length (about 6.5 ft) is enough for basic installs, but you'll likely need extra length depending on your mounting point and how much you need to pull it through the rest of the vehicle.In terms of performance, this antenna works great on the 2m and 70cm bands. I got an SWR of min 1.2 @ 145MHz (140–150 MHz) and 1.13 @ 435MHz (410–470 MHz), which is plenty wide and more than usable for general ham or GMRS use.One thing to note: the LED lighting is very bright. It definitely turns heads, but if you're driving a regular SUV or car, it might be overkill. Also, when powered on, the LEDs introduce a noticeable amount of noise into the signal. You’ll want to use an isolation filter if you plan on transmitting with the lights on.Bottom line: Great performance, easy to install, rugged enough for off-road use, and looks great. Just be aware of the LED interference and plan accordingly.

Seems to have good reception and transmit on both VHF and UFH. Light is very bright.

Looks good on our off roader and was easy to install.We are very new to the ham radio world and may have put the cart before the horse in ordering this item as we just recently got our licenses.That's OK we go out with a club and most of its members also have licenses and one or two of the members always rides with us and are great mentors / guides for us.So far this antenna has been great for our purposes which mostly include desert trails and some southwest mountain elevation gains.Love that the antenna has lights.Love that it is flexible and bends with the breeze, doesn't feel like it will ever snap off.I don't really get into all the technical stuff but the guys are all saying its more than we will need and I'm good with that.The antenna feels and looks to be well made, is holding up well so far and we've had it out six or seven times already, taking advantage of the weather before it gets over 100 degrees out.Communication has been clear and undisturbed with this antenna and I would recommend, at least for a starter unit.

Absolutely fantastic build quality, comes with everything you need for a professional install (and multiple stickers, multiple flags, lots of swag), very happy from that respect. However, I can't seem to get the SWR under control on this thing. It's not bad enough to damage my radio or keep me from installing it, but on 2M I'm seeing 2-2.5, and on 70cm I'm getting closer to 3. That's hooked directly to the base of the antenna with a 6" (inch) copper feeder to my NanoVNA. When I get this in a vehicle I'll check the SWR it again, the lack of ground plane can definitely affect SWR, but there won't be a good ground plane on most installs for this antenna; I don't imagine anyone bolting a metal pie sheet to the roll cage of their ATV or Slingshot, for instance.

I have been running a firestick on my off-road rig for years but decided to give this light up whip a shot.It is well constructed and feels sturdy. Installation was a breeze as it includes everything you need including wiring for the lighting, switch and mounting adapter. Basically all you need is the radio and cable from the radio to the antenna.The amber lights are bright and have a clean look. Definitely something that will be seen from a distance.Reception seems good on my gmrs radio setup.

This antenna is pretty good.It is 4feet tall and with the coil inside it electrically extends to 6f which is 1/4 wavelength for the ham 10m band. I got it to tune to the 10m ham band and the SWR is pretty good 1.9-1.5 A tuner will get that lower. The LED lights when turned on work very well and the orange glow is bright but not too bright. I have not tested operations on the CB band or much on the 10m band but it does receive OK not the best as this is a short antenna but it will RX ok. With a good ham radio tuner I could get this antenna to work on 15m and maybe 20m But as it's short this would be hard and probably not worth it. Overall the quality is great, the light's are cool, and the antenna is good, I would say it's good for CB, the Ham 10m band and maybe the ham 15m band. As a bonus the light's are LED and they probably don't consume much power, so this antenna could be used as an emergency light source.

Just installed this Xprite GMRS antenna on my Jeep, and it’s a head-turner! The 4ft amber LED whip is BRIGHT—way more visible than I expected, especially at night. Overlanders and campers will love the added safety factor. Just don’t expect a rigid antenna—this one’s built to bend, not break.
