I ordered this while I was on vacation over the holidays because I wanted something to better hear radio comms at work without raising the volume of my radio to nuisance levels. Unfortunately, when I returned to work I found that my employer had replaced every single one of the old XTS 5000 radios with a newer model (APX 4000). So I never got a chance to actually test this out. I can tell you that it appears well built, the clips which hold the microphone and earpiece to your clothing are all metal. the cables seem fairly beefy as well. The microphone button is nice and solid and gives good tactile feedback with its click. The earpiece feels comfortable as well. But as for how it performs I cannot say much about. I will give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a 5 star rating as it certainly feels like a 5 star product.
