It works wonderfully. Larger skeins go a little skiwampus, but this does not affect the rollout of the yarn. I will be using this constantly.

Even if you works with skeins as opposed to hanks, a yarn winder is always nice to have on hand. I wish I would have had one of these back when I was crocheting dish cloths from Sugar n' Cream. It would have made short work of keeping my yarn organized and not having balls of yarn taking off across the room.I have one that is similar to this that I have had for over a decade and was going to give it to my daughter, but then I saw this and it's purple...her favorite color.
