Easy instructions, took less than 15 minutes to remove old ones and install new ones. No more carrying a stick to hold up the hood while checking the fluids.

Super easy to install hint don't attach the bottom base of the strut attach it to the base knob under the hood first then just screw the strut onto it you'll thank me later also don't screw the top mount to the top of the strut tight leave atleast a half turn of slack you'll need it to position the mount on the top knob on the roof of your under hood these don't come with instructions but the bottom mount is wider and thicker which will line up with base of the strut aka the thick side.

Fairly straight forward although I had some issues getting the old struts removed. Fifteen minutes with a Dremel and all is good. I actually only needed to replace one side but did both since it seemed like a good idea.

I heard about these hood lift struts from a friend. I was very skeptical at first. They were installed on a 2007 Avalon Touring that I purchased used. The Avalon didn’t have the struts; it came with a broom stick! The struts came nicely wrapped in the box. I had to attach the terminals by screwing them to the struts, but nothing major... they were easy to install, they fitted right Into it’s part, and they seem to be of good quality. The genuine hood struts costs around $90 each! I paid a fraction for both struts; good value for your money!I’ll keep updating the review as the time passes.

I just installed these but they were the exact length of the originals (well, maybe they'd been replaced by a previous owner). First time I went to close the hood I had to press down pretty hard to get it to budge. I really like the fact they have the extra dust shield on the cylinder. I think this should help protect the seals down the line. And....of course the pair cost far less than a single one would have from Toyota.
