Tried it on some wood and within 10 minutes of use had melted away to nothing. Don’t use on anything but plywood I guess. My mistake, but given how quickly it melted away this won’t last long for any application.

Works great! Perfect for what they sell as 1/4" plywood today.

The cutting portion of the bit is brazed/welding (?) in a cup at the end of 1/4" shaft. This bulge would prevent a deeper cut that cutting port. I've never seen a bit made this way and won't buy another from this company.

I've used this to cut dadoes in hardwood plywood for 30 drawer bottoms. It slogged a bit when making a 3/8" deep dado on one pass. Bit was a little duller when I was done and has some temperature discolouration. I assume if I had used two passes the bit would have ended in better condition. My conclusion is that this is a good bit, but will not stand up well to rough use.
