Not thrilled about being sent an obviously used product with visibly wear and tear when I paid full price for this. It also wobbles more than I'd like and there doesn't seem to be much that I can really do about it. Shouldn't be looking like a grandfather clock when all I'm doing is typing on my keyboard

it's been about a year since i've been using this shock mount on a generic dynamic mic and it works well to isolate the input (voice) from external influence like table thuds and forceful typing. no complaints, easy to install.

I always worry about brands I haven't heard of before, but this product did the trick. I have Rode PSA-1microphone booms and the way that I have them mounted (drill mounts - through the broadcast desk) was leading to lots of low end noise in the microphone channels. Self explanatory and easy to setup, these guys did the trick and really knocked out the low end noise and rumble. The included microphone wind screens are pretty much non-functional, but I suspect you are not using $350.00 microphones, with $150.00 in-line boosters and getting to excited about a $0.25 piece of foam.

I’ve got a VIVO pneumatic arm mount that I love (super sturdy) but the way an SM7B attaches meant limited range of motion from the XLR rubbing against the mount itself when you try to rotate it.Jumped at the chance to try out this SM7B-specific shock mount, as I immediately saw it as a solution to my problem.And it is a great solution. The extra length provided moves the integrated XLR port further away from the boom arm mechanism and no longer prevents the mic rotating.The mic itself now dangles perfectly and freely rotates when moved. As a bonus, it’s also easier to see past the mic now.The included foam filter was not tested; I use the “default” foam filter and have the actual Shure spare foam filter sitting in the box ready to use.Overall, I’m not sure whether the shock mount properties improved / lessened vibrations through the desk reaching the mic significantly but the improvement in mounting position and visibility is worth the price alone.Super happy with it. Solid built quality and a solid 5 stars.
