Electrical connections in a car have to be done very precisely so you don’t burn your car down.I looked around for connections as I was doing a dual battery setup with a DC to DC charger and needed a way to quickly disconnect voltage between the two batteries. These worked well and fulfilled the purpose. I get a little over the amp rating as I am pushing 55 amps through. I also love how these are waterproof.FYI tho, the are a very tight fit depending on the wires you use. At 6 gauge, I had to use my hydraulic press and kind of pre-slide the rubber grommet to get it to click and slide in.

I used this with 8 awg cable to carry 12v 30 to 50 amps. I soldered the cable into the connectors. (Don't like crimping I don't trust it). The connectors snapped into the housings nicely and the plug works as it should.Only downfall is there are silicone plugs that go around the wire and plug the holes in the back. With 8 awg wire they don't work. Other downfall is it comes with silicone plug covers that cover the ends when not plugged into each other. Silicone is slippery and they just fall off with the slightest bump. Stuff I can live with as long as the plugs work and they do.

Definitely a solid connector. It will work great for my 4x4 air compressor eliminating the need to put the alligator type clips on the battery every time I use it!This connector is simple enough to put together, but was not obvious to me. I had to watch the video a couple times to understand. Some simple instructions in the package would have been immensely helpful!Overall, great product. Time will tell if it withstands the harsh automotive life, but I'm sure it will be fine.
