Worked as advertised in the beginning, but during a nice spell we unplugged it, but left it floating on the pond because winter isn't over by a long shot. After a hard freeze again we went to turn it back on and it warmed up, melted the ice and then it sunk into the pond.I'm guessing water got into the bubble part, which may have been a slight amount of user error. But we really only have used it for a little over a month and now it's garbage.

This worked great in our 120 gallon pond for the first two months. I cleaned it regularly and followed instructions for use. Now water is getting inside and it is sinking. You get what you pay for and in this case it isn't much.

Very poorly. Have ordered at least 6 of them. They either blow the GFI outlet which shuts off aerator not good for fish....or it sinks to the bottom of the pond and doesn't leave hole in ice for gases to escape. So either way worthless

so far so good my 250 gallon outside turtle and koi pond did not freeze over with below zero temps in our region. Water temp stayed constant 45 degrees with below zero temps

Because this floats, I had to weigh it down to use it to provide water to wild animals in the freezing winter, as I didn't want them to pull it out of the container and cause a fire hazard. It has worked beautifully in below-freezing weather, and I see more and more animal tracks coming to the water container. The deer know I provided it, and they are not afraid of me. It is a joy.
