I used this at the end of the winter to turn on/off the water heater for our chickens. This removes some of the unpredictability and failure that I've experienced using smart outlets and IFTTT. Unfortunately when it comes to those services, you are completely dependent on the connection and accuracy of whatever information they are gathering (I even attempted to pad the tempatures so that it would account for issues to no avail). Thankfully, this gives me an option that is all local so I can just plug it in and forget about it (well, except for occasionally checking in on things just because).

Using with a basic pond heater to auto turn on and off during cold weather. So far working great. The build seems very hefty. You will need to plug in your own heating device to this product. This item only turns on/off within the temperatures you designate.
