I have multiple grinders and there is this one older grinder that just doesn't have a quick release adjust on it. The guard fits other brands besides dewalt. I had a smaller metabo one that the cover also fit.

I got this for my husband for use with one of his many tools, in this case his Dewalt angle grinder. According to him, it fit his dewalt angle grinder great and worked well. It did what it was meant to do and safely kept sparks directed away from him. It can be switched to be on opposite sides for different projects as well.

Fits my 18v Dewalt grinder, model DC411. The guard fit without adjustments, and clears grinding disks, flap disks, and cutoff wheels.I like this style with the lever, because it is tool-less to rotate for your type of work. Open the lever, rotate the guard, and flip the lever back down. Vibrations have not jarred the guard loose, and I have the tension set fairly high to avoid it slipping off the tool. I also store the grinders hanging by the guards, and it has stayed tight for the last couple weeks.

I inherited a Dewalt 2010 era corded side grinder with a missing guard, and while my safety squints do pretty good, I got this grinder guard to rectify that.It isn't a perfect fit. I had to take it apart and bend the collar open a bit more, but once I got it on, I was able to get it tight enough to be satisfied. It does it's job and 4-1/2" grinding wheels and disks fit as they should.Safety squints - engage!

Check the size of your angle grinder before ordering. It says it fits a Ryobi but it doesn’t fit mine. The inside diameter of the guard is 43.7mm but the outside diameter on my Ryobi is 45.7mm. So obviously it doesn’t go on, even with a good bit of force.

This 115mm Grinder Guard 4-1/2 inch for DEWALT Angle Grinders is a great value for the money. It goes on fast and holds tight to the grinder and gives you great protection. The quick attach makes it easy to rotate or take off the guard without having to use a screwdriver!. It's built well and I recommend it!
