These work great with my drill. No problems with breaking. Does its job well. The tip is slightly wider than the shaft so keep that in mind when drilling.

At this price point, I wasn't expecting the best of drill bits out there, but I must say, when I immediately put them to the test on my driveway concrete for a gate post bolt, I was pleasantly surprised! Although the spade head didn't seem as "beefy' as name-brand masonry bits I have used in the past, the sharp blade tip here actually did a better job of starting a pilot hole and once I hit a concrete stone, it bit into the stone much better than the name-brand bits I have used in the past which have tended to "skate" on top of the stone. I found using my weak-knee'd 5.0 amp B/D hammer drill with these bits worked better "dry" than when i water-lubricated the hole, albeit at a slow rpm as you should with concrete. A flimsy plastic case kinda "corrals" these bits, but a nice feature is the size is clearly imprinted on the bits, while the best feature is the three-sided flats on the bits grip way better than the round bits, which tend to sometimes slip under heavy use (IMHO all bits should have these flats!). These bits are well-worth a try and although I can't verify to their longevity at this point, the carbide tips should prove to be durable as I didn't see any chipping or wear on the spade head during my little project.

Since I work a lot on masonry and concrete walls, my current drill bits were damaged and not working properly. I got these drill bits and they really work great. These bits are very, very strong and drilling thru concrete walls was very effortless. The tip configuration does a very good job when using the drill hammer. The only thing that maybe I would have liked would have been a better packaging or a plastic box in which to store them as is usual in these type of drill sets.Nonetheless and in my opinion these drill bits are very effective on having these drilling tasks done in a short time, so I am very pleased with the end result of having these.

Their description makes the bits seem like they can do everything. Perhaps that in itself should have been a warning (especially at the price). First impression is that the case holding these bits is cheap plastic and doesn't seem like it will hold up to frequent open/closures. I did like that each bit was inscribed with the size hole it is supposed to drill. I first tried to drill holes in a 2x4 with a couple of different bits. These spade-headed bits seemed to struggle but eventually made a hole based on their stated diameter; unfortunately, once you started to drill deeper, unless you could hold the drill at the exact angle, because the bit shaft is much thinner than the head, it was difficult to drill a straight hole through the thick wood. I would not use these on wood except perhaps for a very shallow hole. FYI, the black coating (shown in their pictures on the bit spirals and heads) came off almost immediately. Next, I tried it on a thin piece of aluminum where it seems to work ok (not the neatest but acceptable). Finally, I tried to drill a 1/8in hole into a red brick. I put my Milwaukee into hammer drill mode and it made a decent hole but the bit looked very worn after that test. If the coating had lasted longer or the heads didn't look so beaten up, I would have given an extra star. Personally, I will keep these purely for masonry work and I'll temper my longevity expectations.
