I use these for drawing a lot, they are great for all sorts, I mostly prep my work with them for animation and layout, they hold up perfectly and you can see all the levels of fine and hard lines well, or rub them back to go over for the final. I would not use any other brand.

These pencils arrived promptly and in good condition in two boxes of twelve each. The leads provide a good smooth line, which is kind of the minimum for a pencil, and these are certainly priced attractively. I didn't have any problem getting good points with my KUM sharpener. However, I can't honestly go any higher than three stars because of two crucial factors. One, the eraser is useless. That's only half a star off, though, because it's a rare pencil these days that has an onboard eraser that seems to be designed for anything other than appearance, and I have plenty of good erasers. The second, much larger concern, has to do with the barrel. The ridging and paint are fine--nothing special but not bad either. The real problem is this. For reasons I can't really fathom, every single pencil has a barcode sticker wrapped around the entire barrel, fixed with a gum that, yes, allows you to remove the sticker with a little work, but which leaves behind a residue that required, for me at least, a chemical cleaner to completely remove. This isn't a design or production problem, it's a PACKAGING problem, and a senseless one. It doesn't make the pencils impossible to use, it makes them ANNOYING to use, and a tool that is annoying to use is hardly worth the name. A disappointment to say the least, especially given the reputation of the manufacturer.
