Snow releasing from a metal roof can be extremely dangerous. Our installation pattern, screw mounting configurations, and extended gussets ensure that snow will remain in place – the right way.
What is the installation process?
- Simply place the Perfect Seal Gasket in the grooved channel on the base of the Snow Guard and set the Snow Guard in place to be screwed down.
- Place the Snow Guard perpendicular to roof slope with flat front facing toward the ridge.
- Insert 3 Neoprene Washered #10 sheet metal screws into the corresponding screw holes. Screw through the Snow Guard into a structural support.
- (Example: perlin, sub-roof) Use a 1/4″ socket to tighten screws to cause approximately 50% compression of the neoprene washer.

We lost several snow guards off our roof during this last winter so we needed some replacements. These are sturdy enough but they are small. I believe they will still work fine. We have a large roof though so we will probably have to order more.

I have used this brand about 12 years ago on our lake home log cabin that has metal roof. The snow would come off in sheets and pile up on the deck and In front of the doors! I bought about 100 of these back then to put along the entire roof line. they do work and I like this style as they are clear so they are not a noticeable from the ground as they kind of blend in. I am building a barn now and will be putting a metal roof on it and will use these again to stop the snow in front of the barn doors. They have a silicon base that you put under the thick plastic ledge and use the washer coated roofing screws to seal the whole thing to the roof. The ones I put up 12 year ago are still holding strong and have never had a leak. I am pleased with the order.

The title and info and photo on the ad shows that screws are included. This box did not include screws. Everything else is fine and would have given 5 stars but it was falsely advertised
