Not sure why all the Vine reviews are at the top - they're not at all helpful. The scale on the PH side is reversed. Acidic should be on the left and Alkaline on the right. This meter has 10 (Alkaline) on the left with the number on the right 1 (Acidic).

The ph scale on this unit describes ph of 10 as acidic and low end of the scale, 1, as alkaline but that is opposite. The instructions describe 7.5-10 as alkaline but the color graph is reversed.
