Needed to to enlarge holes for larger faucets on a 2" thick granite counter. These bits cut cleanly with a perfect chamfer and NO chips. Paid for itself with single use

I got Arflimar 2 pc Diamond Beveling Chamfer Bits for Angle Grinders with the intention of using these for some PVC pipe I’m using on a current project. These are far too good to be used for that, so I’m looking elsewhere for that. These bits have a wax core to keep the bit cool during dry grinding, and while that is a great feature, since these are diamond bits (and the entire surface is encrusted), they can also be used with water to cool the bit and work piece.I am working on 2 backyard projects that involve stone and running plumbing through at least one stone. I practiced on a small piece of flagstone to test the performance of these bits. Depending on the task, these bits can be installed directly on my angle grinder, or if I need more visibility of the bit while I’m working, I have adapters that allow me to use any of my drills. I prefer to use bits like this with corded tools so I’m not worrying about power, but since the adapters fit all of my drills, I could use these with any of my tools.To prolong the life of these bits, I used a masonry bit to drill a pilot hole in the flagstone and then loaded the smaller of the bits to enlarge the hole while smoothing the edges. By doing this, any hoses I run through these holes wouldn’t be as likely to snag, rub or puncture. All in all, these are great bits and showed very little wear after my experiments, so they should last through my 2 projects and still have life for whatever comes up next.
