I recently upgraded to the 2025 3 in 1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter, and it has been a fantastic addition to my car. The AI Box with Android 13.0 system and 2GB+32GB storage supports streaming video from Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, and the Play Store, making it incredibly versatile. I use it to watch YouTube while eating lunch, and it works flawlessly. The setup was easy, and the wireless connection is stable and fast. However, I DO NOT recommend using it while driving for safety reasons. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their in-car entertainment experience!

Two problems. First of all, this came with a users manual for a totally different thing. I plugged it into my car and did manage to connect the Bluetooth. It brought up the Android app, but I could not figure out how to enable the Android Auto - which was the whole reason I ordered it. I might have figured it out with the correct manual.

I was initially very skeptical of this product. After using it, I'm surprised in a sense, but also aware that it is still a tad too good to be true. This device allows you to wirelessly use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto by connecting to your phone via Bluetooth. At the same time, it has its own built-in Android operating system that is operated directly via your car's touchscreen. From there, you can use various apps like YouTube, Netflix, even browse the web directly.Does it all work? Yes, it does. Surprisingly. Its a perfectly serviceable Android OS and once you plug it into your car, its ready to go (kind of). You do need to connect it to WiFi (which means either your car's built in WiFi or your phone's hotspot). The apps may need updating out of the box. But its all there initially. If your phone is connected via bluetooth, there's a link on the home page that will take you directly to the page that will connect your phone via bluetooth and from there, the CarPlay or Android Auto screen. What sets this device apart from other wireless CarPlay adapters is you technically don't even need a phone to use this. Its essentially a standalone add-on to your car's infotainment and that in it of itself is impressive. So functionally, it all works. The provided USB-A to USB-C cable out of the box did not work. I ended up using the USB-C to USB-C cable with a C-to-A adapter on one end to plug into the car. The performance of the device isn't anything to write home about either. Think cheap Android smartphones or tablets, they work but expect lag and slowdowns even when brand new. And while I was able to get YouTube and Netflix up and running, once a video started to play, the limitations of the device started to show. The audio leaves much to be desired as there is a lot of noticeable crackling. I did run into buffering and lag, though whether or not it was the WIFi or my phone's hotspot, I'll have to see. You also have to remember that some infotainment screens are also limited in terms of the quality of video they can put out, depending on your car.So all in all, I have to say that this is a very novel attempt at bringing direct video entertainment to a car that doesn't already have it (Teslas for example have no use for this). It does work and as long as you have a reliable wireless internet connection, you'll be able to watch many forms of entertainment directly on your car's screen. You'll notice the limitations for sure as the device's performance leaves much to be desired. But for the price, at the very least, its not a bad attempt.

This adapter supports both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. When plugged into to the USB port in the car, it comes with its own initial display screen. When the phone is connected to bluetooth and WiFi on the adapter, it switches to Android Auto or Apple Carplay depending on the device. It runs Android 13 which is not the most recent version but compared to a lot of other adapters, it is most recent. Sound quality is not bad. Reason for knocking off 2 stars is due to the fact that getting the Apple Carplay to work was not that easy and also the build quality is not that great. Contrary to what the descriptions says, it has a stardard USB port to plug in a flash drive to play music and video files not a MicroSD card slot.

Love this! Netflix in the vehicle is a great add for when waiting at practices and we are in the middle of a binge session for a new show! Can't wait to use this going forward!

This glossy black device that feels quite sturdy in the hand. Sadly, it does not work on my BMW 428 Xdrive. Two lights came on when I plugged in the device via the provided USB-C to USB-A, one blue and the other red. I checked my multimedia, and found a new device which I did not recognize called 'JA.' I connected to that, but it did nothing. It was obvious that it was connected to my car because any audio I played was heard through my car speakers. But other than that audio connection, there was nothing. To be fair, BMW's iDrive can be a bit finicky, and it may not necessarily be the fault of this product. I have tried several car play devices and none of them has worked so far. I hoped that this would be the exception to the rule, given all the features that it brings to the table. I was wrong. If anyone learns anything from my review, it is that it does not work for my specific model of BMW: the 2016 428 xdrive.
