I had the first pad in for a couple months. Went to change it, and there was what looked like a glue in the bottom of the frame that holds the filter, which I cleaned out. I put the second filter in, and within a couple hours, there was water all around our furnace. When I inspected the filter, the filter had split apart at the top where the glue was holding it together. I don’t know how they manufacture these filters, but I’ll just stick to buying the Best Air filters from Menards, like I used to. Never had any problems with those filters, and there’s no signs of a glue being used to hold them together, and they are cheaper. Also, these filters are rock hard, while the Best Air filters are softer and have some “give” to them.

Works just as well as the original pads for my Aprilaire 600 furnace humidifier. They last one season before needing replacement. The white covering dissolves into the drain tube, and will eventually clog the tube *solid* unless you clean it out every couple years.

This filter was very easy to install. Two in a package well worth the price considering my heating company would have charged $200 for it and installation! The tech was nice enough to show me how to install it.
