Ill start by saying im not a professional tile guy. But i bought these to use on my first porcelain tile install. I had to cut tiles for the shower valve which measured 4½" and instead of paying big money for a huge diamond hole saw i cut multiple holes with a 1¼" hole saw i had and then used these to expand hole to my cut line. I like that you can use on a grinder or the give you the attachment to be used on a drill. Worked very well only down fall was it did take a little bit of time i do wish the grit/ abrasive part was a little bit more aggressive so could have done the job faster.

The adapter worked great to allow me to use a drill to cut the holes. I have a grinder but had a cutting wheel on it. I had a corded electric drill with a handle to cut the holes and it helped with the 4+ inch hole saw. I suspect the variable speed grinder would have been a better choice but I was happy with a drill and this adapter. The edge grinders work well but they do not cut fast at all. You are removing a lot of material so it takes time and patience for any cutter. They work well and allow me to fine tune the edge. I was very happy with the results.

The concept I had in my mind was, there are no real great glass planter options with drainage. So I will make my own by drilling drainage holes into the bottom of glass vases. This concept is easy to contemplate but the execution is actually more technically challenged. I absolutely recommend using a diamond bit along with some sort of water source as you are doing the drilling at the bottom of whatever vessel you choose. So in this set, I get an adapter so I can use the industrial sized bits and I also get not only the milling bit but also the chamfer bit. I see a lot on youtube and on social media people just using whatever bit to create a hole in the bottom of a glass vessel. It does take some practice and some patience to get it right. I suggest you try on some pieces you don't care about to get the process down. The biggest piece I see missing from any of these videos or instruction tips is the chamfer bit. This is essential for having a highly polished very clean and complete look without an obvious homeowner DIY bodged look. This set has been super successful for me and I get lots of compliments on my completed planters that are thick glass for my exotic indoor house plants. People often comment on the beautiful root structure, decorative gravel... you name it. But I am also preventing root rot and and able to see problems before they manifest into bigger problems and how much water I should be giving the root system. It is even more efficient than a self ordering system because I can see everything. This set provides everything that you will need, please don't give up and think your project is done without trying the chamfer bit on both sides to give it a nice smooth bevel, it will look like a magazine photo, not jankety rough cuts with cracks and chipping.

Just doesn't cut. You can press down for a long time and force it to "sand" a bit, but it doesn't actually cut tile.Ceramic tile? Forget it
