I would have given them 5 stars, but not all the hardware (the brackets that cover the screws) were included... otherwise, these railings are as promised, sturdy, and attractive.

I needed a railing on the steps inside my garage as one side was open and was a safety issue for my family. This railing solved my problem. It did take quite a bit of extra work for me though, however I have ended up really liking the railing.I have two issues with it:1. The biggest being that my steps are on a 36° rise and the railing would not work with that. It probably maxes out at about 30°. I had to put about a 2" block of wood under the lower post in order for it to work. I basically cut 2" off a 4x4 post and that worked well for me. It would have been good if the supplier mentioned what the limits are in the description.2. The second issue is that the description says the railing is made from iron, but it is not. It is powder coated aluminum as far as Ican tell. So it is light, not heavy. For me I am fine with that, but that is different than stated.For my application, I have carpet on my stairs, so I cut out the amount needed so the posts were only on wood. That made the railing structurally sound with little movement. The supplied bolt covers are nice, but you may want to use some silicone seal to hold it in place as it is a bit loose.I question if this will work well outdoors and not corrode. Since mine is indoors, I have no concern for me.So if you have steeper stairs like mine, I would skip this product unless you want to get creative like I had to. Otherwise, I quite like the railing and it is solid to the feel when installed correctly.
