The plug and wire are very solid and heavy. The box is a plastic box that perhaps could be sealed a little better, but it is certainly fine. I am very happy with it. There was no instruction/installation manual, but I'm not sure what would be in it anyway - you find a location for the box and mount it. I did not use the screws that presumably came to to mount it - I think they would only work goin into wood or up to heavy gauge sheet metal. I mounted on 1/4" steel, so I drilled and tapped holes for 1/4"x20 cap screws.

Quality of materials is top notch! Plastic is very soft and should hold up very good. Cable is flexible and rubbery. Connectors on wiring are solid but studs are bit flimsy in the box so tighten connections by hand only!!! Now this is where we run into issues. The color coating and the markings in the box do not align with trailer wiring colors. Make sure you have volt meter when installing.

Looks great, works great, it was wired wrong for a standard GMC trsiler connector. I had to change the wiring around in side the box. No big deal.

I had a mishap with my camper plug coming unplugged while I was driving. This was the answer and I relocated the box in a safer spot. Worked awesome.

Needs box to be a little more heavy duty and also needs the wiring colors to be US standard. had to mark wiring with color tape for identification .
