I like Strats, but am not crazy about tremolos. You can block the tremolo with a piece of wood, but that's not quite the same as having a straight hardtail (non-tremolo) bridge on a body designed for one. To that end, here's a nice bridge that looks great and is very reasonably priced. This Ovsal bridge copies the far more expensive Hipshot model; it's designed for the classic strings-through-body configuration. The saddles are surrounded on three sides by the bridge plate, preventing them from moving around too much. I like that, and I like the very attractive gold plating as well. Another nice touch is that Ovsal slips a piece of heavy paper under the saddles, so that the plate doesn't get scratched up during shipment. Overall string spread is approximately 2 1/16 inches, or about 52 mm. The bridge is packed in a ziploc bag and comes with five mounting screws and an adjustment wrench in a separate ziploc bag. Both bags are packed into a small bubble bag, and everything reached me in perfect condition.There are hardtail Strat bridges of similar design available for lower prices. Having examined this one, I can vouch for its nice heavy quality and beautiful appearance. Highly recommended for custom builds or replacement. And, need I add...grab it while it's still this cheap.

This arrived well packaged. The bridge is very nice looking and it has the heft of quality metal. The saddles are block and well made. And the best part is the string through feature, and that's the main reason I ordered this bridge. I am replacing the original bridge on one of my Squier Bullet Mustangs with this bridge so I can drill it as a string through instead of a top loader. So, this bridge is perfect for the job. Overall, a very nice and sturdy bridge and for around twenty dollars with the current discount it is an excellent value for money.

Overall this is a good quality bridge - however it is marred by slight finish damage in several spots. I assume this was caused by having the screws in eith the bridge with only thin plastic bag material between them. I would opt for chrome next time.This black seems too easily damaged and will likely show user wear too easily.Overall this is a good bridge, with nice fitting saddles. screws and springs. This would 5 stars if the finish was not scratched slightly. It won't be obvious on the guitar I will be using it on.

Nice solid and heavy hardtail bridge for your tele or strat or whatever you are building.Solid metal saddles for good sustain.The Chrome finish is good and looks well done.It is a string thru design hardtail so you will have to drill the body if it is not already.A great bargain.Its no brass bridge but still really good.

I stuck this bridge on a cheaper import style telecaster that I have and I think it's a definite improvement. For the price you can't really go wrong
