Don’t buy this junk. It’s cheap for a reason, look at my picture only 3 tiny weld for the blade! It’s going to brake and it come in very dusty. Not to mention. It don’t line up with my pin hole!

If an auger that will drill a hole in sandy soil is needed...then this auger might last awhile. If drilling in rocky soil... not so much. The problem... the cutting blade on one side of the drilling tip has no support on its outer leading edge. So... if the auger is drilling away at a good speed and encounters a rock with the tip of the unsupported blade, there's a very good chance that the position of the blade will be bent from its original position, or torn off completely. Another issue. The leading drill tip, that being the drill in the center of the auger, is for the most part a drill bit that cannot be replaced! So... when that drill tip breaks, and it will, the auger is just about useless. I know this because a broken drill tip on my original auger was the same way, and when that tip broke, well, that broken drill tip is the reason that this auger was purchased. A auger bit made for digging in the earth needs a replaceable leading drill tip, and supported cutting blades. Yes the cost was low, but if the auger is damaged, and needs replacing in short order... what good is it? And, it's not as if you can see what you're drilling into, so yeah, the odds are pretty good that a rock is down there just waiting . Update 1-09-22. As expected... the unsupported cutting blade was torn off while digging the very first hole. Please see attached picture.
