I just got this little radio and i am very impressed how strong it can pickup stations. I live in a rural area and i can pick up most stations from the city next to me. The speaker is ok for a mono one. But hooking up a bluetooth transmitter to the head phone outlet and using my bluetooth speaker. I got full stereo! I would recommend getting this for the price and if you like scanning other frequencies from cb to shortwave. You will not be disappointed!

It’s a cool little unit. If it worked, though, it would be a bit overpriced. The problem is that none of the control buttons do what they are labeled for and don’t even seem to perform the same function consistently. I’m trying to return it but Amazon tells me I need to ship it to China. Really?!

Takes awhile to figure out how to access all the features. Still don't know how to work the alarm. It starts beeping when I least expect it. Easy to touch power button to shut off alarm, but can't figure how to set it.

bought this and having fun... this pocket sized receiver has incredible bandwidth.. AM broadcast, FM Broadcast .. Shortwave ( am ) bands , CB ( 27mhz ) Band ( am ) and Amateur Radio Bands ( AM..sorry no SSB) Aircraft Band... near airports, this is a blast listening to tower and planes.. and of course WX radio... receiver is fairly selective ( strong stations will bleed ) the sensitivity is fair to good and the antenna sucks.. use there included clip on wire for SW and AM but its digital readout! how cool is that and its right ON! its not a $200 scanner but for the money its really fun... sound quality isnt bad for the tiny speaker...

Extremely poor quality. Little or no reception at all on most bands. Was probably a $3 radio if given to a child. I definitely do not recommend I return for a refund the day I got it

I was surprised that when I took the radio out of the box, the display had a scratch and other marred appearances. When turned on, the battery was low, and an alarm was set to 6:10 pm. It looked like a used radio. I also noted that a strong local am station was staticy sound, no other radio in my collection has any problem receiving this station without static. Finally strong FM stations are heard on frequencies that are not supposed to be heard on. The other radio I purchased, a Retekess V115, had none of these issues, as well as sounding much better.Update -- after reviewing it recently and in comparison with other radios here are my results.1. Great sensitivity, can hear FM, and other VHF signals including Air Band tower transmissions without extending the antenna ! It is very sensitive and can be overwhelmed my other transmissions is external antennas are used.2. Clock feature is used when in bed by a button press which turn on a display light for a few seconds.3. Long battery life, it takes allot of use to drain the battery.4. Small pocket sized profile, convenient for travel. Carried in pocket for 6 weeks during trip to Washington State, and listened to a Canadian FM station over 50 miles away every night without extending the antenna.It is now my "Go To" portable.

I bought this at the original price of around $54 I think. This was several months ago. It seems now it is much cheaper. It was similarly priced to competing offerings, and since most other products from this company seemed to be and assortment of computer hardware and such, I assumed that this company had actually built the thing. I read another review on here that said they found the same product under a different label with a better manual, which makes me wonder if my original hypothesis is correct. When I got this, it seemed to me as if a child of one of the companies designers came into the factory one day and decided to see what they could make out of all of the random pieces of electronic hardware laying around. The screen was popping out, but we shoved it back in. The battery feels kind of like a 9volt in a space meant for two AA batteries or something like this. this makes me wonder if the plastic case that this is in, is actually from some sort of voltage meter or some thing else. Speaker sounds quite teeny, but it gets the job done if you need to use it. If you can, plug it into just about any other type of speaker. I found this worked quite well though! I am on the northern Oregon coast, and I can get f and stations from Seattle, and a.m. stations from San Francisco, and one day I even got one from Salt Lake. I have never received any aircraft transmissions with it, but I have not yet tried it at some airport or something to see if stronger signals will still come in. I cannot compare this with any other short wave radio, but my area seems to have very bad reception for this. Usually things fade in and out and the static is so bad it is often hard to understand any signal that does come in. One night though, I got a very clear transmission from radio Havana Cuba. this could be more from the weather conditions and mountains in the area than some very cheap receiver. I found if you want better a.m. and short wave reception, you pretty much need to use the clip on wire antenna or something else if you happen to have it. to get better use of the wire in Tenna, try stretching it across the ground, or hanging it from some thing higher Up. It can save presets, but I have not yet tested this. As far as I know, you can remove old presets unlike some other more widely recommended models. I got this model because it seems to let you adjust what frequencies are in each band, so I could potentially use this in Japan and some other countries that have different FM frequency ranges, but I have not yet tested this
