Other peripherals like keyboards and mice didn't suffer the same sort of delay. This might be a deal breaker

The functionality of this item is quite good. I am using this to switch two usb-c (dp alt mode) laptops to a usb-c monitor. My keyboard and mouse and headset are plugged into the monitor and the device is working as a KVM switch.Note, there is no HDMI port as mentioned in the product details,The switch requires 5vdc to work from a usb-c power input.Took 1 star off as the usb-a to USB-c cable for power that should have been included was missing from the box. This is listed in the manual / box as included but was missing from mine.

If you have a need to switch USB-C devices, 2 in to 1 out or 2 out to 1 in then you'll find this to be handy. However, in practice this is a little too simple. For example, if switching between 2 microphones or two cameras, it is simple to select the desired device in the operating system. On the other hand for switching two computers to one monitor, there are usually additional devices like keyboards that also need to be switched and so a hub is needed.Bottom line, this device works as advertised, but make sure you are clear on how you plan to connect everything in advance to avoid disappointment.

I’ve got this set up to switch a dock that has my keyboard, monitor, and mouse (Wacom tablet) between my laptop and Mac mini. When it’s switched to the laptop, it works fine. When it switches to the mini (same components), only the keyboard works. If i replace the switch with a thunderbolt cable, it works fine. If I switch the output ports, it still won’t let the mini use a monitor (just the keyboard).

It works but Built in chord is a limitation and having all ports in the back would of been a better designs having the chords in front messes up the workspace. For functionality, deserves more stars. Design though is not ergonomic. Front cables ruin the experience.

The single output cord that goes to the monitor is hard wired to the switch and it is much too short. It can’t sit on the desk because the cable won’t reach the back of my monitor. You can get an extender but I decided to stick the switch on the back of my monitor with double sided tape.

I needed a switch to change from my personal computer & work laptop.First, I like the minimal & simple design of this. One button & 2 lights. However, it causes my two monitors to flicker when plugging into a docking station. This is plugged into a 100-watt adapter to maintain power. The docking station has its adapter as well. I will try plugging my computer directly into the docking station without the switch & see what happens.

I use it to share one 4K monitor with two systems. In addition to video, it properly handles simultaneous data to usb ports on the monitor. I only wish all the connectors were on the same side of the device.

Works best as a switch between two USBC devices. I use it to switch the monitors, mouse and keyboard between Dell Laptop and Macbook Air
