  • The S66E radio is further developed on the basis of the S66 radio, which performance is more outstanding.
  • There is A-level intermediate discharge and detection circuit, which make this radiao work more efficient.
  • It uses a front input transformer, two power amplifier and transistors 9013 to amplify output.
  • The headphone socket is 5 mm in diameter and it is suitable for universal purpose headphones.
  • S66E type kit adopts 6-tube superheterodyne receiving mode, and the circuit is classic, easy to debug.

Pretty radio. However, the 2 IF transformers.were bad. No continuity on the primary coils when checked with an ohmmeter. Good for parts though.

Yes it's a basic superheterodyne am radio. The resistors are poorly marked (even if you know the coding schema). You have to measure ea one individually. They did have everything included in the kit. Instructions are in Chinese, but there is a schematic included. After putting it all together, I bridged the test points, because I figured there wouldn't be much I could do about errant current readings/testing. You will have to fiddle with the transformers to get it to receive stations, but it does work, after a fashion. Another thing is that the solder pins on the headphone jack are so short that they can't really be soldered to the board. If yours has those short pins it won't give you any sound with speaker or phones, leave the jack out, and jump the appropriate connection to get sound out of the speaker. It is avery modest dose of nostalgia. There're no good stations on am anymore anyway.
