I recently purchased the Amcrest USB Microphone and I must say that I am very pleased with its performance. As a gamer and streamer, having a reliable microphone is essential, and this product has met all of my needs. After testing out this product for a week, here are my thoughts:Setting up the microphone was very simple and easy. It is advertised as a plug-and-play device, and they really meant it! I didn't need to install any drivers or software. I simply connected it to my computer and it was ready to use instantly. So this product is great even for people who aren't tech-savvy or those who want a hassle-free. The most important part of a mic is obviously its sound quality, and this product does not disappoint. From my testing, the audio is crisp, and clear, without any distortion or background noise. I also feel that build quality is important, and this microphone feels solid and well-built. It feels like it can withstand regular usage without any issues. The adjustable tripod stand is also a nice inclusion, as it allows you to position the microphone at the perfect height and angle. Many expensive mics don't even include that, so I appreciate Amcrest doing so. The included pop filter was also really good at filtering sounds. This is especially beneficial for recording vocals or narration.Now, one improvement I could recommend is the addition of a mute button. While muting can be done from the computer or unplugging, having a dedicated button on the device itself would have been more convenient during calls and recordings. Also, I would appreciate the inclusion of a smaller mount, While I like the one that I was given, sometimes it would be more practical to have something less bulky.Overall, the Amcrest USB Microphone is a reliable and high-quality microphone that suits the needs of gamers, remote workers, and basically anyone seeking an USB mic. Its sound clarity, simple setup, and durable build make it a worthwhile investment. While a mute button and a smaller mount could have been nice additions, they are minor shortcomings compared to the microphone's impressive performance. It is a great product at an affordable price, and I highly recommend this to anyone in the market.

I purchased the Amcrest USB microphone which has the desk mount boom arm several months ago. The microphone has been used for several recordings for videos I have uploaded to YouTube. The boom arm is very convenient since I can rotate it parallel to the edge of my desk against the wall when I am not using it. When I am ready to record, I can swivel it into position. I like that you do not need to loosen any clamps for the arm to swivel. The boom arm feels sturdy when all of the clamps are tightened down.The microphone is suspended in a circular holder to prevent picking up sounds from the movement of your desk or the mic. The included wind screen is nice to help improve the quality of recordings by reducing the impact of the sound of your breath when speaking into the mic. I have found it adequately mounts to the arm and is easy to adjust thanks to the flexible wire mount.The USB cable is long enough that you should be able to position it several feet away from your desk and PC if you need the extra distance. I actually have half of mine coiled up because it is longer than what I need, but I appreciate having the extra length in case I need it later.The audio quality of the mic is significantly better than one of my wireless headsets. I purchased the mic in hopes that it increases the audio quality and it certainly did. I have a deeper voice and the Amcrest mic picks up the deeper tones much better than a basic wireless headset. The recordings sound clear, but I noticed that the mic does pick up some background noise. However, it is not as much noise as a basic mic picks up. This is where a high pass/low pass filter would be beneficial but at the price point of this mic, I do not know if it is feasible to add those features and still keep the price budget friendly. Fortunately some noise filtering can be done in software. The microphone volume when recording needs to be turned down a bit in order to avoid clipping the audio.The overall sound of the audio, while quite good for the price, may be a little bit muddy as compared to a higher end microphone, but I am not an audiophile expert. For my purposes, the microphone quality works great for my needs as a content creator. In my opinion, this microphone strikes a solid balance between price and quality. This microphone is a great purchase for those who are setting up a budget friendly studio for podcasts or videos.

This Cardiod microphone is full of surprises; all good. First impressions changed my expectations before I even started my test sequence. This mike is way beyond what I was expecting in a low priced USB microphone. The package bundle is very complete down to spare parts subject to normal wear. Each component is well designed and of excellent build quality. Pictures don’t really do it justice. Every element is well thought out functionally as well as esthetically. The desktop mounting hardware works beautifully, the isolation mount is effective and easy to work with and the set of filters make it an ideal solution for video production, conferencing and live interviews.I initially thought this might be over-kill for my conferencing needs but soon found that it was an ideal solution. Concerned about the desk space required, I hesitated implementing a suspended microphone vs a desk stand model but soon realized the mounting hardware made this an easy fit for my environment.The audio quality took me by surprise as I’ve always considered USB microphones substandard compared to my experience as a musician in the recording studio. While you can’t compare a $55 USB microphone to studio quality equipment you might be as surprised as I was. Yes, this is limited to voice work but it is beautifully suited to Podcasts, Livestreams and Conference Calls.Installation is a breeze, a simple USB connection without drivers or configuration software.For the price, you can’t do better. Just buy it.
