Easy to setup, easy to install and fits the fold away ceiling stair nicely. If it takes you more than 10 minutes to install you are doing something very wrong. Super easy and very effective.

My two sisters-in-law and myself installed it. It took a little figuring on how exactly it fit in the opening. Once we figured it out it went in easily. I used an electric stapler to adhere it to the opening. It works well to keep the hot air in the attic. I am very pleased with it. I am a widow and not mechanically inclined. You do need to have another person help you with the installation.

Literally took me five minutes to instal. The attic is in my daughters room and she immediately felt a difference in the room temperature. The cover zips easy and insulates very well.Installation tip: I purchased a small roll of double sided duct tape, ran a strip around the perimeter of the stair case opening, installed the cover on the tape, and then used a commercial grade stapler to fasten to the wood frame. We have been in and out of the attic several times prior to installation putting away holiday decorations and the seal is still perfect.

While the product does insulate really well, it is designed for the user to only enter the attic on one side of the stairs. My attic requires me to climb on both sides of the opening. Good stop gap till I can build something better.

I've been researching ways to make my home not only more energy efficient but also more comfortable. I've read many articles about attic fans, radiant barriers, spray foam, insulation etc... I decided to go with installing a radiant barrier along with this insulation for my attic stairs. This product fit my attic opening perfectly and was so easy to install using a staple gun. Probably took me only 5 mins to install. After installing, I immediately could tell a difference. I used to be able to put my hand up near the attic opening and feel heat emanating from the attic. Now, I don't feel anything at all. I don't believe it provides the R-value of insultation it claims to but I can say that the product definitely works.
