Just got it and so far I like it very much! I was looking through all the two-cat pet feeders and this one stuck out to me most since it had the best reviews. In my opinion, it is very easy to use and set up (just make sure the times are right such as AM and PM! I made that mistake initially and was wondering why the food wasn’t coming out at the right times). The most confusing part though to this feeder is the portion sizes. I feed my cats 1/4 cup each cat twice a day, which according to the instructions (one portion equaling ~7 grams) and some math, would equal about 24 portions for each meal (breakfast and dinner). DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT do 24 portions per meal time I ended up overflowing the bowls lol. After some trial and error, I found out 7 portions equals about half a cup (1/4 cup for each cat). After figuring that out though I think this is a great investment! You get what you pay for so I think getting a pet feeder that is slightly more expensive than those $27 dollar ones on here is worth it. I also love that this feeder comes with stainless steel bowls! I’ve old had it a couple of days so I can’t completely say, but so far I love this feeder. It makes my life so much easier!

Got this to keep the raccoons out of my cats food. LOVE that my cat does not yell at me to feed her at 5am!! Love the convenience and the ability to record a message that your cat will hear. love the battery back up if no power so you don't have to spend all the effort and time to reprogram everything. love that it lasts about 10-15 days on a couple portions 2x daily. I DID NOT LOVE that it was very time consuming to set up and took a lot of trial and error to get it right mainly because of having to figure out if one portion was enough or two etc. then once that was figured you had to go and figure out how to program how often what times. The amount of food for the portions depend on the food. Friskies for example uses a lot of space and needs many more portions. It holds about a 6lb bag of food. Once you figured it out it is well worth it.

This automatic feeder is GREAT!! I got this for a last minute trip and it does exactly what it’s intended for.The numbers for the timed meals are in military time which is actually pretty helpful for keeping track of the schedule you’re setting your pets meal times.It was fairly easy to set up and you do have to long press the starting button to turn it on so you can set the feeding times.I use it on batteries since my cat loves to chew wires and it came in handy since we actually had a black out a few weeks after purchase but my cat still got his meals on time.He actually sits right in front of it when he knows it’s about to dispense his food. Before it even comes out and the first kibble hits the bowl, he’s already leaped into it. I guess he can hear the noise of the kibble churning as it comes out.This automatic feeder is great for pets that need to be fed in smaller amounts but fed consistently throughout the day.I can tell you, your pet cannot access the top to open it. My car has tried several times to open the top after seeing me do it when I need to refill it. He also tries to access it from the dispenser opening and he can’t do it! HA!He really is a greedy little thing and his efforts have been futile.No matter how many times he’s seen me open this feeder , he simply cannot open it and hadn’t realized he didn’t have opposable thumbs to do so!Excellent investment!!

Why I needed this cat feeder...I have 3 cats 2 young and an old cat. I typically feed them twice a day but I'm older cat will graze on his food all day. The other 2 not so much they end up eating his food. So I needed something to force my kittens the graze. So I read reviews on a bunch of these and decided to buy this one.WHY I LIKE IT!!!So far it does what I want. It gives a potion 4 times a day. I still want to feed my cats when I wake up and before bed. I like when they are lovey before and after breakfast/dinner.PORTION SIZE EXPLAINED!!!So I tested a bunch of different portion sizes and added them up to see if I could get the right amount for a half days worth of food. As you see in my pictures i used a 1/2 messuring cup for reference. 1 portion size is a small amount. 4 times of 2 portions is a full half cup. Since I want to still feed my cats in the morning and night I decided that 1 portion-2 portion-2 portion-1 portion will work best for that I am looking for.HOW THE MACHINE WORKS!It is in military time. Not that big of a deal because it doesn't have am or pm so it goes off military time. Super easy. There is 4 meal prep settings and a lot of portion sizes. You hold down the lock button to automatically feed. Push (set) to set time, (set) then select the amount of meals (set) the time of first meal (set) for portion. Then repeat until finished. Oh you can also set your voice.. I haven't tested this out yet. You can either plug the machine in or add batteries.Overall thus far I like it. I only bought one to see how it works before investing in 3. I am going to buy 2 more for my needs.!Thank you for coming to my TedTalk I hope this was helpful!!!
