Fairy easy to use vacation feeder. Wireless, so just uses frozen icepacks. Would not use for a very long period of time.

I literally thought this was an automatic vacuum cleaner when I first opened it up. We plan on using it for dry food so the ice packs won't get used, but are nice to have. It only has six compartments so with two cats it would probably only last us 2 days, give or take. Oh well, may just have to get another one. The setup is pretty intuitive and it seems to work just fine. With our robot litter box and our auto feeder, we barely feel like we have any pet responsibilities anymore. Does anyone make a machine that pets them for me? Just kidding...This will definitely give us peace of mind for short trips. Great value and works great so far.

We got this to make sure that our cats were getting all of their food that they needed. The feeder is good quality and has a quiet motor. However, the sections for food were too small for our cats. They decided to look for food in the bigger containers next to the machine. I was using it for dry food instead of wet food.I think it would be good for someone with only one cat (we’ve got 5) that has a specific small diet that they are on. Or maybe for someone who is older that wants assurance that their cats are getting extra food just in case.

I was a little skeptical of an automatic wet food feeder for such a low price, but what it does, it does exceptionally well. We have one cat that's on a special diet and both of them are fed in 8 hour intervals, so 3 times/day. That makes it challenging for us to be away from the house in the afternoon, but not any longer. I've been using this now for the past two weeks and it's worked without any issues. So, what you 'can't' do is expect to use this for more than a day, at least for wet foods. Well, you certainly could, but the packs don't remain frozen for doing that. But we're no longer tied to the house every day. We've used automatic dry feeders for years and love them, but I've been ready to build my own wet food feeder recently. I was literally designing my own, using a mini fridge, Raspberry Pi, and lots of 3D printing, when I saw this unit for right around $70. While I love a good DIY project (and I'll still take on the build!), in the short term, this feeder means freedom!So, is it perfect? Well, that depends on your needs. It's quite cleverly designed and I love how it all assembles and comes apart for easy cleaning. I also love how our cats can't get into it... and I can share many horror stories of what they've done to other feeders! This thing is the Fort Knox of feeders. It's shallow design and rubber pads on the bottom mean that we don't find it batted across the floor and they can't knock it over (but not for lack of trying!). The ice packs are below the food, so, being cooled from below but the ambient temperature of the room above means the clock will be ticking before the ice pack melts. The temperature of the food will rise above refrigerated levels pretty quickly, but it stays 'cool enough' for a day. I'd go 24 hours max on what we load up in the feeder, which is a combination of chicken and kibble. So, we really only use it to span about 18 hours and it's been a stellar feeding tool for that. It's ultra quiet, which is opposite of the dry feeders. While there's nothing super high tech about the unit, all of the plastic components are nicely made and it's pretty slick how the clear dome on top locks this feeding flying-saucer together. Once you get used to getting everything perfectly aligned, all of the pieces do fit very well.We've been looking for years for a reasonable solution for human-free wet feeding and all of the feeders we've found run from hundreds to thousands of bucks. There aren't even many from which to choose, which is perplexing. Are there really that many stay-at-home pet parents out there?? Well, we can now get away over night, both be out of the house midday and I've bought a little time before I have to dive into the workshop to build my own. This gadget is very practical and has given me more ideas on our own custom creation. Honestly, if there's one product I've gotten off of Amazon this year that wins the internet, this one is it, and I'm a picky guy, especially when it comes to gizmos and gadgets!

This auto cat feeder is compact and techy.A terrific buy for cat owners who work or are away often -- and do not want a cat sitter or kennel to board their cat in their absence.The food is dispensed properly and the cat loves it!

Pause. I am going away for 3 days on a work trip, but still wanted to feed my cat wis wet food and I was struggling trying to find a way to do that without hiring someone or asking a friend. I actually tried two different products. I was intrigued by the 6 meals in the title, but it is a little deceiving. The packs only last for 24 hours and then you have to replace them, kind of negating the whole experience for me at least. Now, with that being said, I also feed him dry food and I typically spread out his feeding times so it actually has been helpful on a day-to-day basis by allowing me to load up his wet food in the morning and his correct portion of food for the day and set the times for it to dispense then in the morning I switch the ice packs and start over. It has given me a nice routine in the morning that keeps me consistent and allows me track my cats weight and diet a little better.

Works great for when you are away for 1-2 day and need to feed your pet food. Works with cold food if you freeze the ice packs. The timer is easy to operate. 5/5 would recommend

Easy to set up and helpful when you’re out of home for a long time. Saves us having to coordinate someone to come feed that cats. I recommend it.
