Works well however I feel like it lacks water pressure so it doesn't circulate water overly well. It's still worth it for a small pool like I have (12x30). It was compatible with my pool as well. I also don't like the filter that goes inside the pool as they just pop off really easily.

This above ground pool filter pump does a great job keeping the water in the pool we have for our grandchildren clean and clear at a very reasonable price! It comes with everything needed to easily setup if you just have the pool or want to buy the pool separately. It’s very easy to maintain and relatively quiet. It takes a Type II Filter, which I just hose off every week and replace about once a month and it does the job. It has a GFCI feature in the event of any electrical failure and will instantly cut off power, which is important for us. Great pool pump for a great price!

This should be everything you need in one box, unless you have some strange setup. This should be a drop-in replacement for a wide range of pools, up to 4200 gallons. Should work with Intex, Bestway, etc.The only thing I would warn is the hoses are fairly short. You'll have to put the pump fairly close to the pool. However, you can use your old hoses if you have them, they might give you an extra foot or so. Also you can buy longer hoses, or mend two together with a hose clamp. The pump can stake to the ground for added stability. This is the same physical size as larger pumps (like the 800 and the 1000), so it takes the same type of filter - which is Type 2. It's a pretty common sized filter. They say replace every 2 weeks, but I've found I can make one filter last almost the entire summer. The operation is very quiet. I'm giving it a solid thumbs up, but realize these are very standard pumps, with plastic impellers. However, I've found that if you take care of it they can last indefinitely. A few tips - use a filter sock in the pool to trap debris (especially small pebbles, june bugs, leaf stems, etc), which could damage the pump. Also put some pool filter balls in your sock filter, to serve as a pre-filter and save some of the work of the filter and pump. It will make your filter last much longer between cleanings. One final note - they do have a model with a clear filter housing, which I actually prefer. I can easily see inside to check the condition of the filter.

We recently got a small above-ground pool for the backyard, and I wanted to make sure we had something dependable to keep the water clean without a lot of hassle. After doing some research, I chose this KimFilter Basic Series 530 GPH Pool Filter Pump — and I’m really glad I did!Setup was incredibly easy, even for someone like me who isn't super handy. The instructions were clear, and everything fit perfectly with our 10-foot round frame pool. Within a couple of hours, the water went from a little cloudy to crystal clear, and it’s been staying that way with just regular maintenance.I also appreciate the built-in GFCI protection — it gives me peace of mind knowing it's safer around water, especially when friends and family are over. It runs quietly, it’s easy to clean the cartridge, and honestly, it just works without me having to constantly babysit it.Pros:✔️ Easy setup (clear instructions, quick install)✔️ Quiet operation✔️ Strong, steady flow rate (530 GPH feels plenty for our size pool)✔️ GFCI safety feature is a big plus✔️ Cartridge is simple to clean and maintain✔️ Good build quality — feels sturdy and reliable✔️ Great value for the priceA couple things to keep in mind:➖ Cartridge needs rinsing about every two weeks (not hard, just something to remember)➖ Best for smaller pools — might not be powerful enough for very large pools. They do sell pumps that can handle much more capacityOverall, this little pump has made owning a pool simple and fun. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a small to medium-sized above-ground pool who wants clean, safe water without breaking the bank.
