Q1: Does this filter need to be flushed?
A1: We recommended that you have to flush the new whole house water filter for 5 minutes before use.
Q2: When should I replace the water filter replacement?
A2: The service life normally depends on the water quality and use frequency, and we recommend you to change every 3-6 months for the optimum performance.
Q3: Should I rinse the water filter equipment every time I change the filter replacement?
A3: There will be some dirty water left after last use. You better have to rinse the equipment with clean water before changing the new filter.
Q4: Should I turn off the water valve when I change the filter replacement?
A4: For the best, please shut off the water supply system before you change the water filter cartridge replacement.

I needed a carbon filter for a smell in my water. I bought another filter that filtered smaller particle out of my water and took care of the smell but clogged easily. So far, this one doesn't since it filters larger particles. Very good so far. Time will tell. I may need to rereview at a later date.

These are Amazing! I have well water with a lot of iron and calcium. I was using the filter type that came with the unit. They're white and feel like a type of paper. I had to change, these things were not doing the job. My water is so clean and different now. Can hardly believe the difference.

I have been buying whole house filters from Walmart or my local farm and home store. I live in the country and use well water for laundry, dishes, showering and general uses not including drinking water. My well is saturated with iron/rust and required me changing filters weekly with the Walmart or other local brand. These filters have been lasting 2x as long and are heavier density filters that keep rust out and last saving $.
