I ordered the Cable Cutters, Ratcheting Cable Cutters Heavy Duty for Electricians, Ratchet Cutter for Cutting Aluminum Copper Soft Wire up to 600MCM / 240mm². Now, to be fair, I don't have any experience with this type of tool, and take my review with a grain of salt since I didn't know exactly what I needed for my purposes. I'm an artist, and I randomly had some ideas regarding copper piping. I ordered this since I needed to cut some, but I realized my copper tubing is far too soft and it just dents it completely and flattens it out. So, this will not work but I will just explain what I noticed about it and take what you will. I immediately noticed it was a very heavy duty and heavy tool in general. It does seem to be well made, and it's easy to grip. It was all oiled up, and there is a safety latch on it. I couldn't figure out how to open it and looked at the listing that looked like I had to press a button down, but it's mainly pressing the lever down. I don't know if I was doing it wrong, but I had to press sort of hard on the cutter part to get it to open up properly once the lever is down. I have no idea if I'm doing it wrong, but I was able to achieve what I was trying to achieve by opening it and attempting to cut my tubes. I see after ordering this it is for cable wires and not necessarily metal tubing as most would use a different tool that I saw. However, upon reading different things, it looks like people will use this sometimes. It's a ratchet so you just slowly close it. It effortlessly cut my soft tubes, but as I mentioned it just completely flattened it where it's no longer open. Because this is so heavy duty, I'm assuming it would have cut a hard copper tube of the same size, but that's not what I have. This will come in handy just to have on hand, but it definitely wasn't what I needed and assuming I'll need to manually saw it. It's hard for me to rate it when I clearly didn't know what I was doing, but because it's heavy duty and effortlessly cuts, I fairly can't remove any stars unless I'm rating my life skills and decisions, thank you.

Nice set of cable cutters. They work for large cables other styles can't open wide enough to fit. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Nice cutters. I typically use nines or banana cutters, both which require lots of grip strength. As I get older, I like easier. There is a small lever on the back to open them. You can then gran or push the swing blade around and encompass the wire you are cutting. Now squeeze the ratcheting handle until it slices through your wire. Keep in mind these are only for soft metals like copper and aluminum. Anything with a steel core like RG6 tv cables can damage the blades.
